Liuos seemed to arrive on the dub techno scene all at once with Terms EP, his strong debut on Cold Tear Records, but this was the culmination of two decades of experimentation and discipline. A unique mix of power and spaciousness, of both longing and will, Liuos’ work stands out for its clarity and expansiveness. Working steadily from his modest studio in Finland, Liuos has quietly become a respected name in the world of dub techno, with releases on Cold Tear, Lucidflow, and spclnch, and remixes for Superordinate Dub Waves and Off Records (Belgium).

I studied piano for many years but when I discovered disco music in the 80's I preferred to be a DJ rather than perform in classical music concerts. From 1982 to 1992 I made thousands of people dance in the best clubs in central Italy. From 1992 to today I make music because I am always looking for new sounds, rhythms and above all new ... emotions!
