Brian A Rivera known professionally as ubu (formerly stylized as uBu), is a Dominican singer, songwriter, rapper, director, record producer, graphic designer & digital marketing director. Rivera was Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, at the age of 10 migrated to New York City where he remain for a long part of his live. This is where he was introduced to English Language Rap. uBu's musical style is usually categorized as an improper blend of traditional hip-hop, lofi and ambient music. His most recognizable trademark is his pitch switched, delayed vocals, which creates a dark, chill, hi-res and above all, unnatural sound. uBy himself has said "I just vibe, don't like to fall into a lane, maybe I'm not hiphop" His first EP "Passive Aggressive" is set to release 2020.

"Passive Aggressive" is looking to be a very intimate Ep. With each song touching on a sensitive but meaningful message, like the leading single "Passive Aggressive" which touches on Anxiety & Depression. Long Drives (Stay Home) which targets those who don't want to bound by the rules of the quarantine. The music video for "Long Drives (Stay Home)" received huge amount of positive feedback do to the message behind the song. uBu also has Podcast titled "Pulse Radio" in which he created to give light and a bigger platform for LoFi Producer & Artists.
