We were extremely excited to welcome Under Konstruktion as our guest dj for episode 96 of Technoir on https://outerrim.tv/. Hot on the heels of his blistering new ep on the brilliant Ryu Recordings https://ryurecordings.bandcamp.com/album/woes, Under Konstruktion delivered a 2 hour, genre bending, industrial infused, techno mix not to be missed!

Born in Seville, Spain, Felix is the reckless music creator behind the project known as Under Konstruktion. He is also a founder of the experimental noise group For Your Own Safety, and music label manager of Meek Tapes. For a few years, he was also part of the band Introverts.

Felix has been DJing in London and across Europe under the moniker DJ Fe and later, Under Konstruktion. However, it was in 2011 that he first performed as Under Konstruktion in Antagony, London. The project was initially formed in 2008, emerging from Felix’s previous experimental-noise-based work. The project, inception, came from his passion for this music genre that he consumed and surrounded himself with when he arrived in London in 2003. His idea was to reflect everything he had ingested into a sound that was not derivative yet familiar, as sound you know and yet didn’t.
Under Konstruktion continues to expand his sounds, with Felix constantly exploring genres, sampling his raw recordings and incorporating new elements into his work. Inspired by Dark Techno, Industrial, Rhythmic Noise, Drone and '80s electronic bands such as Cabaret Voltaire, he crafts his tracks using digital and analog drum machines, synthesizers, samples, and his own distorted vocal expressions.

Under Konstruktion just released an EP Woes with the label Ryu Recordings, other labels released include: Noctambular, Rough Rabbit Recording, Eye Recording and New North Records and has collaborated with artists 14anger, Shaman Urbain, Pi-xl, Devil’s Breath, 5-ht, Sven Sossong and Fw Projekt.

Felix has performed mostly in the UK and Germany, in events such as Antagony, B L A N C, Rosa Decidua, Drone Berlin, Primal Uproar and Fraction Bruit.

Set Inspiration:
This set inspiration is a combination of a recent visit to the 909 festival with artists like Luke Slater, Chris Liebing, Jeff Mills and others brought me back to classic techno tunes. I grew up in Slimelight listening to a variety of decades of industrial music from Skinny Puppy to Hypnoskull and my current admiration for other artists that are bringing together and blending all the genres I fell in love with.
