'In Between' is about the spaces between the big events in life.
The everyday moments where you feel safe, known, and deeply held. 
Whether with a loved one or in the presence of something bigger than yourself- it’s that intangible comfort that stays with you.

The song’s bittersweet tone draws inspiration from Elissa’s love of romantic cinematic soundscapes and the nostalgia-laced scores of Nancy Meyers films like Father of the Bride.  The song leans into Laufey’s orchestral inspired soundscapes  and Georgia Lines’ anchored and authentic piano based writing.

Although this iteration of their collaboration was officially formed in 2021, they have been playing music together for over 30 years, formerly in the band, The Dry Season. Their music is an eclectic mix of Americana, old-timey murder ballads, garage rock, dark country, punk, punkgrass and folk.
