Making his debut on Distant Horizons, Yosh joins the core Lobster Theremin family with a weighty 4-track EP, ‘My Fire’. Quickly making his name within the new wave of UKG, the London-based artist has developed a reputation for dark 2-steppers and screw-face breakbeats designed to delight and devastate the rave. These varying soundscapes can be found over the course of ‘My Fire’, from jungle influences and atmospheric melodies to ambient dreamscapes and pure euphoria. Ahead of its release this Friday, we have the exclusive stream of the last cut on the record ‘Outa Sight’, which swings between a moody bassline, hypnotic vocal sampling and blissed-out ecstasy.

The second track from Tread Records’ forthcoming VA comes from Lisene - co-founder of On Rotation, and half of Space Cadets with Adam Pits.
‘Loose Connection’ is another characteristically cosmic number from the Leeds-based artist, made exclusively for the club, with elements of breaks/broken techno accompanying an unmistakably pulsing bass line.

Along with ‘Machine’ by Acidfinky, ‘Loose Connection’ is now available to download on Tread’s Bandcamp, with the full vinyl release expected in early 2023.

Psssh is the new label formed by Dauwd Al Hilali and Dave Redmond,
born from a collection of demos the pair felt deserved their own home. The inaugural release is the first in a trilogy from Dauwd himself, signalling a departure from the sound that first brought him notoriety.

The project is eclectic, pursuing less contrived grooves, from impactful dancefloor works to an ambient playfulness.

The EP kicks off with ‘Jean Rouch’, a techno jam littered with driving percussion, and the eventual emergence of a properly satisfying bassline. ‘Idris’ is equally intriguing, an ever-flowing and meticulously layered groove that doesn't quit. 'Really Good’ concludes the record, impressing further a spirited and melodic slice of deep house.

Dauwd’s work is new and fresh, but with references to old that hold their own.

To serve his sonorous ideas the ferocious, and retro tribal art direction of artist Mauro Ventura delivers the perfect cinematic vision of Dauwd’s EP.

As premiered by The Black Madonna on BBC Radio 1's Residency, the record opens with O O O, a peak-time banger comprising of pungent vocal direction, and gently swung, pristinely programmed percussion.

Duvrow Hill utilises a clattering worm break, with spacious bass devastation, complimenting aromatic, time-stretched vocals.

Three Strikes, named after it's three different, distinct drops, consists of an extraordinary arrangement, exposing a fuller view as it concludes an EP of valuable club tools.

Bristol-based up-and-comer Joe Litherland - Artist name Litherland - joins Mood Of The Era with Proximan Betrayal, a release that is best described as a cerebral cocktail party of tingling euphoria and emotion.

The 21-year-old British Southwest native might still be considered as a neophyte of sorts in the world of electronic music but recent releases showcase a sophisticated sound that innovatively combines elements from new wave electro, breaks, trance, acid, and techno.

Kicking off the 3-tracker with MOTE Records is Proxima, a goose bump guaranteed, relentless slab of trancey acid and electro house that burrows deep into the listeners subconscious with its sparkling synth patterns, dreamy pads, and fading vocals.

In pursuit of Proxima, is Strife a gargantuan dance floor shredder with its thundery and adrenaline-fuelled acid patterns, backed up by thumping drum work and deep rolling basslines.

Orbital 191 closes the EP with its melancholic and soft ambient soundscapes that are topped with playful percussions and synth patterns that together create a tantalizing journey through space and time.
