Returning after a year’s break from releasing music to focus solely on finishing the album; Xtrah follows up his previous EP for Cyberfunk, ‘New Perspective’, featuring the dance floor, crowd-pleaser ‘In The Shadows’ – a track that gained heavy radio, club and festival play
with support globally from such artists as Noisia, DJ Hype, Rene La Vice, and many others.

Taken from his highly-anticipated debut album ‘X’, Dispossessed embodies the razor-sharp techniques Xtrah has mastered to refine his sound after a decade’s worth of craft within the drum and bass scene.

Xtrah’s development in experimental techniques has lead to recreating organic sounding instruments and classic breaks by carving elements from synthesised soundscapes. His
mastery of digital processes has allowed him to create an album, that not only stands up in the digital era, but still retains the soul and feel of sampled records reinforcing his original approach to making music via sampling.

By some distance, ‘X’ is the meticulous London artist’s biggest project to date – one that has taken him almost three perfection-chasing years to complete but is now ready for release.

With the weekly stream series called 'Disassembly' we are focused on helping upcoming talents to improve their music. We want to give them a good starting point with this series and believe that this will play a crucial point in their musical careers.
Dismantled EP covers many sides of Drum & Bass genre: from the dark deep vibes in 'Simplistic' from Rend & Ation to DLR inspired 'Difficult Conversation' from Grim Hellhound. Born in London, raised in Budapest and now thriving in the heart of Bristol, it's been a real journey so far for Sonic Rain, real name Boris Garland. Training as a classical pianist from a young age, and energised by the influences of scene lynchpins Symmetry Recordings and Metalheadz, it's clear to hear there's something really special in the making here. Treading softly and methodically between the sharp, driven breaks of 'Unity' and the flowing, wonderfully eerier sonds found here on 'Polar Field'; there's a soulful yet prominently vintage aesthetic etched within his writing process... almost, the subliminal peaks and caveats of the written word, frolicking in the musical artform. It's lovely stuff, and forms an integral part of 'Foundations Vol 3', the third iteration of Melinki's Four Corners Music's commitment to the new-gen, and they always deliver on this compilation.
