Phil Taylor interviews Sid Ryan, who was to be the chair of the Toronto meeting for Dimitri Lascaris' lecture in Toronto. Ryan criticizes the UCC and other organizations which prevented Torontonians from hearing a call for a negotiated peace in Ukraine.

Ryan also decries the sending of endless arms and money to Ukraine, because Ukraine has virtually no chance of winning the war.

Dimitri wants Canadians to consider the large number of Ukrainians that have perished so far in the conflict and the many more who will do so if the war continues. Canadians should be grateful of the chance to hear Dimitri.

For his part, Phil Taylor describes the pro-war position of the Trudeau government as "tunnel vision." It can't seem to consider the view of Lascaris and the peace movement in Canada to change course and seek a negotiated end to the war.

Nothing has changed, except the anti-colonial movement has won many victories and today the Palestinian cause of equality, independence, and sovereignty has wide popular support worldwide.

Israel laying siege to Gaza, calling Gazans "animals", will create a storm of support for Palestine. Diplomacy can solve the crisis, but it means taking the US out of the driver's seat, and following the UN charter.

Brendan interviews Rabbi David Mivasair about recent developments in the campaign by Independent Jewish Voices and other concerned parties to end the tax exempt status for the "Jewish National Fund."

The JNF is an Israeli tool for the dispossession of Palestinians. It has been used to erase Palestinian settlements, in one case replacing villages with "Canada Park." Use of occupied land for one ethnicity only contravenes international law, and Canadian domestic law.

The JNF has also been implicated in funding Israeli armed forces projects, something which a Canadian charity cannot do.
