I've played it occasionally since 2006 at ecstatic dance events and special events that are open to that emotive space. "I will never forget my first burn in 2008. Searching for good music on the playa back then was not as easy as recent years. Every corner was blasting either dubstep or electro type of genres  which was not in my interest and finding Robot Heart by accident during a night time adventure with my friends was one of the best find on the playa. 2008 was also Robot Heart's 1st year in Burning Man and as I remember I was one of the 100 people dancing right in front of it and dreaming that one day I will be playing on this amazing stage on wheels. It was only few years after that on the night Damian Lazarus took over the bus with his party called "Rebel Heart". After that night my whole perspective on music completely changed and I was so influenced by that night's unheard music that I made a record called "Rebel Heart" as soon as I got home from the Burn, which shaped up my whole career in the right direction. It was such an honor to finally make the dream come true and be part of Robot Heart's line up last year. Big thank you to Robot Heart crew for making this happen and taking great care of me while I was performing on Wednesday night. Looking forward for more exciting years to come."

The richly talented duo Mathame featured on the second Realm Of Consciousness compilation and have since been regulars in the sets of Tale Of Us with some sought-after, unreleased tracks. Their distinctive treatment of vocals marks their tracks out instantly, nowhere more so than on ‘Nothing Around Us’, with the cyber voice of the young Italian artist Lyke. The top quality production and original sound continue with the more understated ‘22’ and end with another prime example of Mathame’s vocal work, ‘Fade Into You’. In comparison, “As Above So Below” on the flipside is adding a fair amount of emphasis. It unfolds in a dry and dense sounding beat-architecture that’s suspense-packed with shaker sounds and subtextual field recordings. Most certainly, a slip-proof ground for this tune’s centre-piece, a scale-riding synthbass sparking an almost anthemic trigger for floor-ecstasy. While details like subtle reverberating tapping and sparkling ambient textures sound like recorded deep down in a dripstone cave, the overall energetic layout pushes relentlessly to the heights of peaktime-grandeur. There you have it: “As Above So Below” - this tune works on every level.

Returning to Sudbeat after his amazing debut last year is Memory with a dynamite two-tracker remixed by Kevin Di Serna. 

Argentinian-born Matias Gonzalez aka Memory began his musical journey in balmy Buenos Aires before moving to Italy several years ago. His dance floor-focused grooves and ear for melody have found favour with a growing list of music lovers and high profile fans including Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and other members of the progressive posse. Given the high quality of his sound, it won’t be long before Memory is on everybody’s lips. 

After something of a hiatus, the opening track, ‘Surrender’ continues from where the Dysnomia EP left off: glacial melodies and warm summery grooves greet us with joyful self awareness. Subtly tribal in nature the gallop of the percussion sections drive the track forward with consummate ease, never in a rush, never at a loss. 

The second original, ‘Hygee’ intensifies the energy with a deep, growling low-end fury. Darkly satisfying, Bladerunner-esque sweeps keep things mysterious as the groove grows with layers of percussive menace, leading to a glorious payoff of epic proportions. On remix duties, self-confessed superfan, Kevin Di Serna  gives ‘Surrender’ a dirtier, bass-led rerub with devastating results.
