Kiasmos mark their return in 2017 with a new 12” EP titled Blurred — available worldwide on October 6th via Erased Tapes.

Since their 2015 Swept EP, the duo have been performing shows extensively across the world. After writing and recording together in their native Iceland this year, the pair will be bringing a glimpse of light to a particularly gloomy time of year as their light sounds are brighter than ever.

The beach was busy with human life upon the first date in July. It was as if half of the country had flocked from far and wide to touch down upon the shore and watch the waves slowly roll in against the golden sand. The heat poured down upon the crowds from the radiant sun which shone brightly up high above. The sky was a crystal clear blue and the sound of sweet music travelled softly upon the warm summer breeze. In cafes some watched others swim whilst afraid to dunk their own feet, they drank from straws a golden liquid made for a day beneath the light. 

We love a good edit here at Ransom Note, it can be a fine art, a thing of delicate beauty. The Rollover DJ's have reworked "Che Cavolo Di Vita Fai" in a showcase of balearic beauty.

Just in time to warm up your winter, Hell Yeah revisit the peerless recent Tsuki album from ambient and Balearic masters Tempelhof & Gigi Masin. 

It is Corner Song that gets remixed by Good Timin’ and Running Back man Jex Opolis. Famous for his disco infused synth pop sound he is a master of his own musical world. His version is eight minutes of laid-back tropicalia. Slowly churning drums and knotted funk-bass prop it up as an eco-system of pops, clicks and hits add to the steamy and sensuous groove.

This week we bring on another great addition on the label, with someone who is about to build his reputation up as we see a brand new artist joining our PHW roster with 2 absolutely gorgeous melody driven progressive productions. With his alias of Jerro, we do think you are to get to know a producer that has that little extra that it sometimes takes.

The first track on this 2 tracker from Jerro is named as “Elira” and a full on progressive journey, including some truly etching melodic hooks, warn bass lines and an overall evolving journey packed with serene sounds that want you to go for more and more every time you listen to the track. It’s progressive music at it’s very best! 

To give you even more (yes, this guy is to be unstoppable), we see another original production make its way onto this release. This one is shortly baptized as “You”.With the full plethora of sounds brought on here, pumping the vibe a little bit more, he delivers in full flare on this one as well with evolving melodic arrangements being served. This is super catchy as well and another strong contender.

The beaked being returns with the third in the series of Fantast remix EPs, once again offering a collection of dancefloor-focussed reworks from some of his current favourite producers.

The third chapter features reinterpretations from former Trouw resident Patrice Bäumel and Off Recordings mainstay Simion. 

In an album campaign that has already seen remixes from Franky Rizardo, NiCe7, Super Flu, Tensnake, David Penn, Pirupa, Cassius, Lee Foss, Catz N’ Dogz, MK and Lindstrom, Mihalis Safras, Eagles & Butterflies & Prins Thomas, the third EP has maintained the momentum and picked up where the first left off. 

Claptone is a unique proposition in modern music. Painted as a mythical character shrouded in mystery, Claptone has become one of the biggest names in electronic music whilst himself remaining in the shadows. He has however constantly sought to deepen his own distinctive world, creating a rich tapestry, which tells the Claptone story.

In his second artist album ‘Fantast’, the Claptone universe is at its deepest and most vivid. He is the master of his domain and in his most artful offering yet, the assured 13 tracks of 'Fantast' come together to create an album full of varied colours and atmospheric textures.

In music Claptone seeks not to create a world of secrecy, but one of great depth and intrigue. An enigma with a tireless desire for creativity and thirst for new music, Claptone has brought together a diverse group of collaborators such as Bloc Party’s Kele Okereke, Blaenavon, Tender, Jones, Zola Blood, Austra’s Katie Stelmanis, The Boxer Rebellion’s Nathan Nicholson, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Joan as a Police Woman and Matt Simons.  

'Over the last two years it has been a great pleasure to work on this album as a counterpoint to the hectic world of travelling as a DJ. To lose myself when making music, to dive into and create my very own realm of beauty. I admit it's a dreamy, a heartfelt, at times a naive and surely escapist album, but what to do if one - on the quest for his soul - develops a strong desire to go back to his roots, back to nature? Did I find myself on that journey? Rather not. But I found some beautiful moments in the green, out in the woods, out in the fields, under the moon and in the night, moments, which I want to share with you. And there is one thing I learned and now it can be told, I am and have always been a ‘Fantast’.'

We caught a glimpse of his ambition to produce a body of work in Claptone’s debut artist album 'Charmer' which has scored over 60million streams and counting, but it’s in 'Fantast' that Claptone really delves deeper into the art of songwriting.
