enuvacion <Techno is a subgenre of electronic dance music that originated in the 80s and fully developed in the 90s of the 20th century. The techno music is (as with most kinds of electronic dance music) emphasis on distinctive rhythm (based mainly on a monotone alternating beats of the bass drum and hi-hat) and a fast pace, with virtually all the sounds used are generated by the electronic musical instruments and devices. The essence of techno music is the repetition of a musical unit, which creates in the listener the feeling of tension and may even cause a kind of ecstatic trance. Techno music is most often purely instrumental compositions usually lack the classical structure used in pop music (verse / chorus) sounds used in any way resemble conventional musical instruments and melodies appear here only rarely. About me:
MiG, by his own name Martin Migota. A native of Opava, who now lives in Ostrava. He has been close to music since childhood, but playing guitar was too ordinary for him. He decided to gain a musical foundation by successfully graduating from the ZUŠ in accordion playing. He has been attracted to electronic music of various genres since childhood. However, at the age of 16 he discovered that there were other songs and genres than the mainstream ones; he discovered techno and started to perceive music differently. Since 2005 he has been attending techno parties of different genres. However, he was most attracted to the sound of the turn of the millennium and DJs like Sven Väth, Johannes Heil, Luke Slater, Chris Liebing, but also Westbam and DJ Hell. His musical world is very diverse apart from techno. His favourite genres are always alternative and underground. These include synth-pop, post-punk, ambient, new wave, synthwave, darkwave, alternative rock, house, funky or electro. He doesn't disdain psytrance or the occasional visit to a tekno party.
All this perfectly shapes the contemporary techno sound he presents. His sound can be described as melodic, dark and dynamic techno with industrial elements. It's hard to classify his set into one subgenre of techno. He combines hypnotic, atmospheric passages with harder hitting bass lines and groovy rhythms that have depth and energy. His sets range from slower, introspective phases to brisk, groovy moments to fast, hard peaks with an industrial and rave vibe. It's techno that balances between melody and power, always with an underground undertone. 
He sees his set as a story that must not be monotonous and should have several phases and a gradual gradation. His tracks are always carefully chosen to fit together and the follow-up track emphasizes the beauty of the previous one as much as possible. He practically never forgives himself for interspersing his set with at least one oldschool (un)techno track.
His mixing experience dates back to 2009, when he learned the craft from more experienced friends on old CD players. He has been behind the dj desk at events since 2017.

Delivering from 3 decks since 2007, UPGR8 has been shaping the underground techno scene with a unique, multifaceted approach to mixing. As the founder of the MXML parties, he’s created a space where electronic music lovers unite for cutting-edge sounds and immersive sets. A long-time resident DJ at the iconic Perpetuum club in Brno, he has spent over 16 years refining his craft, becoming a staple of the local electronic music community.

In 2023, UPGR8 expanded his creative horizons by introducing a 4th deck into his performances, adding new layers of complexity and spontaneity to his already dynamic sets. His music reflects inner processes through techno and house, while unfolding the mystery of the next track in unison with the audience.
