Villion, is an American rapper best known for being the artist with an amazing voice. Villion will be releasing his debut mixtape, "To The Moon" in March of 2017. 

The rap world is at an all time low. In the face of shrinking budgets, music executives rest on their laurels, searching for the next YouTube sensation with a catchy hook and dance move in order to amass digital single sales. While many artists have tried to break through despite an industry melt down, few have been met with critical praise. And the applause for those that have has not been loud enough to sway the course of the current rap market. Looking to excel where his contemporaries have failed, Indiana native Villion brings promise of a new day in hip hop music.

Raised by his mother in Indiana, Villons hometown of Indianapolis would provide much of the sights and experiences that would come to shape his sound. Ville fell into rapping at the age of 11 when he and some friends decided to take an Outkast instrumental and rap over it. He was instantly hooked. From there he delved deep into the music of hip hop luminaries including 2Pac, Nas, and OutKast, taking from them a love for telling stories with an unbridled rigor. Seizing every opportunity to write, soon ville found himself with composition notebooks full of rhymes but no beats of his own to lay them on, yet still he spent all his free time creating songs that would lay the foundation for what his style has evolved to today.

With such a diverse display, Villion is poised to wake up a dormant industry and cement his name in this game. But more than that, with his numerous mixtapes currently in production, he hopes to change the tide of current rap music, swaying it in a more insightful, meaningful and passionate direction.

I get high, but I don’t know why I’m so low.

Music is a passion; it’s not something that just happens. I grew up following my step-father around from church to church every weekend watching him put on a show. I witnessed the control my dad and his group had over the crowd and from that moment on I knew what I had to do, preform. I started taking music serious around the age of sixteen, filling up notebook after notebook. There was plenty of room for improvement and that is what kept me motivated. Coming from a small town recently wiped out by the deportation of jobs, I found myself seeking a deeper purpose in life. Instead of idolizing the rappers and all the glamour they possess, I focused my energy on being the positive influence in the hip hop industry rather than being another radio wash out.  I am breaking every part of the business back down to the basics. My performances on stage will be just that, a performance. From the live instruments on every set to the real life lyrics in every breath, no one will control a crowd like I do.  Our time has purpose and you can choose your direction.

original focus on hip-hop culture, Jones has sharpened his craft as a
musician touring around the country. Since 2010, Oreo Jones has released

awards for his work in the hip-hop community. As a community organizer with
an artistic purpose, Sean founded “Chreece,” one of the Midwest’s largest hip-hop festivals.
