Super Flu - My Gut (Solomun Remix)

Upon Access continues to impress with a sizzling sixth EP. This one comes from German artist Renato and offers two vital cuts that are sure to find their way into some key DJ bags during the rest of the year. 

Outcomes is first and is a slowed down and deep roller riddled with frazzled synth lines. The drums are rubbery and paddy down low and things build to a big peak, with sci-fi vibes and twinkling night skies up top. It’s a dark and moody tune that will cast a real spell on any club.

On the flip, Alter is more upbeat but again characterised by droning synths from start to finish, as well as some cosmic melodic explosions up top. It’s dreamy and trance inducing and a classy house tune that shows off Renato’s great studio skill in style.

Clash Lion is a mix of three personalities; Shall Ocin, TERR and Daniel Watts. Three artists with different musical backgrounds merging forces to create a truly eclectic and open minded label. With an approach to release unique electronic music covering a multitude of genres from techno to retro electronica, their passion for innovative and experimental productions shows no boundaries.

Maetrik tantalizes us with this outstanding release. Deep and dark warping modulation, twisting upon a bellowing low end is accompanied by searing experimental riffs slithering throughout Cortex 11 - B

Ninex 7 – C has a low end drone of power, which builds slowing alongside a relentless hat before releasing into a mind bending synth pattern of pans and fluctuations. Synth depth reigns supreme as the weighty beat kicks into gear, completing a truly mesmerizing Maetrik 2 track production. 

The EP will be available on both digital and vinyl release on the 29th September. Whilst this label is fresh, they stand to showcase a string of superbly creative and unique releases in the months to follow.

The opening of the 27th Chapter sees the revelation of Scottish artist Kieran Apter’s sophomore ‘All I Want’ EP, featuring Editions from Aera (Innervisions, Hivern Discs) and Manuel Tur (Innervisions, Freerange).
Newcomer Kieran is hotly tipped for success, having come to the attention of some of the best artists in the scene as head honcho and resident DJ for Edinburgh house and techno party ‘Tweak_’.
Opener ‘All I Want’ is a standout composition, featuring the vocals of singer/producer and Nicolas Jaar collaborator Leon Power. It is followed up by the instrumental ‘Elle’ which, more arpeggio-driven, shares the same spiritual feel and electronic soul as the title track.
The Editions on the EP are worthy of the original material. Between them, Aera and Manuel Tur have amassed classic releases on labels as seminal and worthy of reference as Innervisions, Hivern Discs, Freerange and Running Back.
Aera’s Edition blends afro techno, chopped vocals and a beguiling synth sequence to winning effect, in a version heavy on dark drama.
Meanwhile, Manuel Tur turns in two versions, both equally stunning. The first is driving and twisted; the most dancefloor-oriented track on the EP. Meanwhile the second makes the very most of the original’s vocals, placing the focus on live instrumentation and a disco groove.
A stunning and versatile package, we are proud to be a part of launching Kieran Apter's artist career and are excited for what's to come.

The opening track 'Collider' is a well-produced composition, exquisitely detailed, with its dark synths and textures echoing alongside a groovy beat. Abstract and spacious, it gets all the elements right to create a compelling dance floor techno track. '
