As Saschienne, Sascha Funke formed a duo with multi-talented instrumentalist, singer and wife Julienne Dessagne (@thetrulyfantastictwins), creating a sound previously unknown to anyone following his solo work.

To us, they are possibly the most brilliant and cool couple in the music industry, Saschienne is the perfect blend of Sascha and Julienne's universe.

For the uninitiated, Holger is a fascinating little label based in Leipzig headed up by  Jan & Steffen Bennemann. With close links to Cologne based label Magazine, it was only a matter of time before the remixing talents of Barnt and Jens-Uwe Beyer would get enlisted. They've specially selected 'Moonland' from Dream Weapons' release way back in 2014 for a thorough rethinking, and the results are as creepy and fun as you might expect from the Magazine collective.

Tenampa continues on a roll of bringing quality electronic music, and this release is proof of it.

Germany based Marc DePulse has a long history in the music business, which has seen him as an international touring artist of solid underground repute. As well as cementing his position as a in-demand producer, proven by releases on: Einmusika, Heinz Music, Noir and Suara.

Digital Detox is a phat peak workout, with a sinister line and a delayed hypnotic sound galore, perfect for dark clubs that like to seriously dance.

Remix duties by the visionaire sounds of Love Over Entropy. 
Whose regular support includes the likes of Mano Le Tough, Dixon, Laurent Garnier and John Digweed, among many more. His sound has graced labels such as: Lossless, microCastle and Nuno Dos Santos label: Something Happening Somewhere.

LOE takes matter seriously with a dose of deep atmospheric goodness, combining an obsessive attention to detail with plenty of space, utilising slowly growing arrangements which glide with organically interwoven rhythms and shimmering melodies.

Turning up the notch is Lowlights, a driving twisted number, with an arpy sound space and piano tinkled synth, encompassed by a raspy bass but still retaining Marc’s signature melodic style.

Surely one of the biggest underground tracks of the summer in Ibiza and beyond, ‘Don't Forget To Go Home' by Emanuel Satie gets  some remix treatment. The first part includes the Original Dub Version by Emanuel himself, a re-edit from Rebirth’s boss Shield and a remix from Black Loops.

A former Pete Tong’s Essential New Tune on BBC Radio 1, and supported by names as diverse as  Sven Väth, Kolsch, Luciano, Dj Koze, Lee Burridge, Guy Gerber, Claptone, François Kevorkian, and even Tïesto….'Don't Forget To Go Home' is a future classic, mixing jazz with deep house ! 
The track is a collaboration with the internationally renowned drumming virtuoso, percussionist, composer Billy Cobham and Nicolosi Production. The Jazz fusion pioneer has dedicated his whole life to musical exploration and creative expression,  working with artists like Miles Davis, Horace Silver and George Benson. 
The label boss Shield loved the track so much and decided to give the track his personal touch. The edit features a new afro rhythm pattern played by Carlos Santana’s percussionist Idrissa Diop, psychedelic effects created with the EMS Synthi Aks and an additional rhodes part. The result is fantastic. Emanuel delivers an exceptional stripped out dubby version, a bass-rolling peak-time house number for the dancefloor, while Black Loops, the italian house duo based in Berlin, strip the musical theme back for a deeper version with a funky disco vibe.

The time has come for the third and final release of exclusive cuts from the Adana Twins mix compilation. Kicking things off is Aaaron’s ‘Muir’ where organic grooves lay the groundwork for ethereal melodies and sinister vocal calls before Adana Twins ‘Ocelotes’ picks up the pace as powerful percussives oppose robust sonic displays of emotion. 

Following suit of the previous track, Andre Hommen steps up next and delivers a vigorous journey where an unrelenting arpeggio drives forward at high velocity creating a wild and impassioned ride before Daniel Bortz and Sascha Sibler’s ‘Yuppie’ draws back the intensity level to deeper, dub infused territories where groove is paramount. 

‘Gazebo’ from Human Machine picks up the energy level once again as hi pace drums and rapid fire melodies culminate in a fever pitch of dance floor antics before Kadosh & Yost Koen’s ‘Dunkellila’ dives back into celestial territories as a ghostly lead winds eerily into oblivion. 

Rounding out the end of the release is Kintar & BOg’s ‘Tribelune’ where melodic percussion and lush sonics traverse a path deep into emotional sector’s before Upercent’s ‘La Lluita’ finalizes the release with an exquisite array of sonics laid over an engaging broken beat rhythm resulting in a lullaby-esque dreamscape of gorgeous harmonies.

It is the year 2007.

Electronic music is more popular than ever, especially TechHouse is on a thriving uprise and Berlin already became the buzzing nightlife capital of the world it is known as today.

Amidst all these creative and musical vibes a new label is born -  Upon.You Records. Founded in February 2007 by DJ & producer Marco Resmann, with a first release under his moniker Phage on Martin Landsky's Intim Recordings as well as great success as one half of the infamous project Luna City Express under his belt, and electronic music veteran Hawks Grunert, formerly involved in running Timing Recordings with Tanith as well as working for legendary „Frontpage“ magazine, Upon.You Records was already widely recognized for its first release, Phage's „Vut & Vat EP“, and started to drive on the fast lane immediately.

Originally intended to be a platform for music from an inner circle of friends as well as for aspiring young talent it didn't take long until the label branched out in 2008 with first international signings,  various label tours all over the place and a first label compilation.

In 2009, after receiving massive support from nightlife heavyweights like Steve Bug, Brothers Vibe, Someone Else and many more, a cover story in German electronic music magazine GROOVE and with a catalogue of roughly twenty 12“ releases Upon.You launched two subdivisions - Upon.You Digital and the momentary Upon.You Sweet & Sour Series – and established a booking agency as well as regular label events at two of Berlin's most praised venues, Watergate Club and the infamous Panoramabar.

Furthermore Upon.You Records teamed up with Workaholics Berlin for the launch of a merchandising line in 2009, introducing the labels unique visual image to the world of street fashion.

With the launch of the annual label retro- / futurespective „Upon.You Diary“ and an expanded core artist family now including Marco Resmann, Martin Landsky, ONNO, Ruede Hagelstein, Gunnar Stiller, Magit Cacoon and The Cheapers alongside many others, 2010 finally paved the way for success and fruitful growth to come in consecutive years in which Upon.You became one of the leading labels in all things TechHouse and related.

And it was even the first issue „Upon.You Diary“ that awed the electronic world with Marco Resmann's widely praised tune „This Song“, immediately ruling every dancefloor after it was released and drawing even more attenttion towards the Berlin-based label which continued to expand its growing international network whilst signing releases by Quenum, Kink or the UK-based longtime ambassador Steve Lawler.

On a jam-packed schedule of about twenty releases per year lately, including Ruede Hagelstein's Beatport smash „Minus“, with label artists touring the globe frequently and armed with the brand new, 2014-launched UYX subdivision focusing on raw TechHouse and classic stamped whitelabel aesthetics, Upon.You has grown into a major force on the international electronic music circuit.

Always on the lookout for new talent and keen to explore new territories, the future looks brighter than ever for Upon.You after entering the longplay circuit with the widely acknowledged album debut of the former Tel Aviv- and now Berlin-based DJ / producer Magit Cacoon, another successful instalment of the „Upon.You Diary“-series and finally entering three digit realms with the release of Marco Resmann's extrordinary gold vinyl 12“  „100“ - the onehundredth Upon.You single release in the label history which was released in late 2015.

And things surely are about to be busier than ever for all members of the Upon.You camp over the course of 2016, celebrating the labels 8th anniversary with a dedicated series of label events all over Europe and special showcases at Sonar / Barcelona as well as ADE and, of course, a string of high quality releases for maximum dancefloor pleasure throughout this season and beyond. Watch out.
