It is no stretch to say that D Nox and Beckers are an integral part of the global dance music scene. Not only are they known for their 17 year long collaboration delivering high energy main room bombs, but as solo artists, they've carved names recognised as a stamp of quality around the world. We cannot be more excited to host the German duo for their debut Balance Music release, a dream like progressive workout that showcases their years of experience.

On the original version of 'Deep in the Dark', the reflective vocals of LENN V s is the perfect accompaniment to the single's deep yet driving energy. The warm, running bass playfully bounces off the dense production, while a bittersweet melody creates a narrative that will reward multiple listens.

Fur Coat deliver a remix that is vintage yet forward thinking in equal spades. The trademark tight and punchy drums, house a driving bass line that feels huge. The vocals feel more urgent, while the melody is aimed straight at the heartstrings. It also features a satisfying breakdown that reminds of the halcyon years of progressive house.

On Fur Coat's Dub mix, a more pronounced melody replaces the vocals, allowing more space for dancers to lose themselves in. If you listen closely, you should be able to lose yourself in the mix too.

One of the TAU family’s prodigious talents, Upercent, returns for a four-track expedition into the creative expanse of his brilliant mind. Uper- cent’s unique sound, blending organic with synthetic and unorthodox effects, has captivated dance floors around the world. Unsurprisingly, his ability to weave stirring melody and emotive storylines into his productions has led to releases with Innervisions, Kompakt and Watergate, as well as several outings with TAU. The EP opens with ‘Tranqui Tronco’, a nifty roller driven by dense percussion. A repeated vocal motif appears as the intro guides the listener into the first breakdown. Upercent’s use of unusual sounds and effects demonstrate his unmistakable sonic fingerprint, as the cut increases in vibrancy. Another breakdown raises the temperature even higher and the track rolls out with the same contagious, driving rhythm.	
		
‘Nuquelar’ follows, with a deep tribal rhythm oscillating at its core. As we dive head first into this cut, hefty drums and a range of urgent chimes and instrumental licks add depth. Warped vocals are also looped into the fold, creating a cacophony of odd sounds as Upercent carefully builds the tension with a huge breakdown. The energetic release brings us back down to Earth with the persistent rumble of booming drums taking the track to its conclusion.	
				
The penultimate cut is ‘Tempesta’, another dark and dense composition. Upercent’s talent for keeping it simple yet engaging, and just that little bit different, is evident here from the very start. This cut’s dramatic narrative keeps you locked in, as the percussion especially plays out a capti- vating story. A moment of peaceful reflection is injected at the midpoint, before we’re immersed in sonic theatrics once more. Moody drums and solemn bass giving this one its gloomy atmosphere.					
Finally, ‘Ruta’ closes the EP with its insistent energy. In typical Upercent style, this cut develops in a considered manner with layers of sound building steadily, cultivating a sinister atmosphere. The voice of a maniacal character enters the fray halfway through, accentuating the unset- tling vibes. An ominous tone pervades throughout, leaving the listener fully immersed in the dark side as the EP comes to an end...

Emerging in 2012, Leftwing & Kody have become regular fixtures in Beatport’s Top 10, releasing on the likes of Knee Deep In Sound, Hot Creations and MadTech when not on their own Lost Records imprint. Receiving regular support from the likes of Jamie Jones, Nic Fanciulli, Carl Cox, Maya Jane Coles and Hot Since 82, the pair’s studio abilities are irrefutable, making them likely artists for the next release on Steve Lawler’s VIVa, whilst also getting signed to VIVa’s management roster to boot.

First up, ‘Pursuit’ delivers sinister samples, whirring atmospherics and a viscous bassline signature to the Leftwing & Kody sound before ‘What You Do To Me’ employs rattling percussion and offbeat stabs until a lengthy drumroll ignites into an infectious groove. Tying it all together, ‘Keep On’ is a bass focused number complete with a looped vox, echoing effects and a compelling rhythm.

But that doesn’t matter because it brings you further and you set the direction. Marc DePulse’s second longplayer “Kontrollverlust“ will be out in November. Loosing yourself in music, in trance - on purpose or because life takes it’s way - that’s what it’s about. While “Uranus51“ is mystical and spheric, a straight way into nowhere, the second track “Her Fragrance“ already catches you with dark, dirty bass lines and pulsating beats. Xenia Beliayeva’s vocals on the title track „Kontrollverlust“ are telling a story about love and sorrow at the same time. Visions, fantasy, the whole longplayer is full of emotions.

“Hats Off“ starts with a bleeping and continues softly and peacefully. A perfect club tune followed by “Sienka“ with this little extra of funk. So now “Better Be Nice“ while dark basses are crashing in and techno tunes make their way. After “Tailwind“ and “Radio Star“ you remember that darkness gets always replaced by sunlight. Make your peace and get “Back To Bed“ till you recovered and under control. Finally „Prince Charming“ guids you to a beautiful place outside. A deep breath and you’re ready to go back where you started.

It is the year 2007.

Electronic music is more popular than ever, especially TechHouse is on a thriving uprise and Berlin already became the buzzing nightlife capital of the world it is known as today.

Amidst all these creative and musical vibes a new label is born -  Upon.You Records. Founded in February 2007 by DJ & producer Marco Resmann, with a first release under his moniker Phage on Martin Landsky's Intim Recordings as well as great success as one half of the infamous project Luna City Express under his belt, and electronic music veteran Hawks Grunert, formerly involved in running Timing Recordings with Tanith as well as working for legendary „Frontpage“ magazine, Upon.You Records was already widely recognized for its first release, Phage's „Vut & Vat EP“, and started to drive on the fast lane immediately.

Originally intended to be a platform for music from an inner circle of friends as well as for aspiring young talent it didn't take long until the label branched out in 2008 with first international signings,  various label tours all over the place and a first label compilation.

In 2009, after receiving massive support from nightlife heavyweights like Steve Bug, Brothers Vibe, Someone Else and many more, a cover story in German electronic music magazine GROOVE and with a catalogue of roughly twenty 12“ releases Upon.You launched two subdivisions - Upon.You Digital and the momentary Upon.You Sweet & Sour Series – and established a booking agency as well as regular label events at two of Berlin's most praised venues, Watergate Club and the infamous Panoramabar.

Furthermore Upon.You Records teamed up with Workaholics Berlin for the launch of a merchandising line in 2009, introducing the labels unique visual image to the world of street fashion.

With the launch of the annual label retro- / futurespective „Upon.You Diary“ and an expanded core artist family now including Marco Resmann, Martin Landsky, ONNO, Ruede Hagelstein, Gunnar Stiller, Magit Cacoon and The Cheapers alongside many others, 2010 finally paved the way for success and fruitful growth to come in consecutive years in which Upon.You became one of the leading labels in all things TechHouse and related.

And it was even the first issue „Upon.You Diary“ that awed the electronic world with Marco Resmann's widely praised tune „This Song“, immediately ruling every dancefloor after it was released and drawing even more attenttion towards the Berlin-based label which continued to expand its growing international network whilst signing releases by Quenum, Kink or the UK-based longtime ambassador Steve Lawler.

On a jam-packed schedule of about twenty releases per year lately, including Ruede Hagelstein's Beatport smash „Minus“, with label artists touring the globe frequently and armed with the brand new, 2014-launched UYX subdivision focusing on raw TechHouse and classic stamped whitelabel aesthetics, Upon.You has grown into a major force on the international electronic music circuit.

Always on the lookout for new talent and keen to explore new territories, the future looks brighter than ever for Upon.You after entering the longplay circuit with the widely acknowledged album debut of the former Tel Aviv- and now Berlin-based DJ / producer Magit Cacoon, another successful instalment of the „Upon.You Diary“-series and finally entering three digit realms with the release of Marco Resmann's extrordinary gold vinyl 12“  „100“ - the onehundredth Upon.You single release in the label history which was released in late 2015.

And things surely are about to be busier than ever for all members of the Upon.You camp over the course of 2016, celebrating the labels 8th anniversary with a dedicated series of label events all over Europe and special showcases at Sonar / Barcelona as well as ADE and, of course, a string of high quality releases for maximum dancefloor pleasure throughout this season and beyond. Watch out.
