Nachtigall
In jenen Tagen aber fiel der Himmel 
und wo einstmals Engel gingen, 
hing eine tote Nachtigall - 
"Armes Tier, komm sag es mir! 
Was siehst Du leeren Auges dort auf blindem Pfad?" 
So fragte ich, doch sie blieb stumm - 
und mein Gesang allein durchdrang 
die große Stille.

So ganz in Ordnung, mein Sperling,
siehts hier nicht aus, seh ich mal von mir ab und werf nen
Blick aus dem Haus, 
da kommt es
mir so vor als ob die heile Welt stillsteht:
so windstill, sinnentleert und weggefegt 
ist die Erinnerung 
an die Zeit, in der man sich schindet,
sich windet und sucht und überhaupt nichts findet.

Und ich lutsch dunkle Bohnen, sie kommen von weit her 
im Mund herb bitter, ich zerknack sie. So leer,
alles zu, alles dicht, kein Mensch hier vor Ort,
dystopische Beton-Turnhallen – für den Sport.

Da dreht der kalte Wind und etwas segelt herab
vom Himmel – fedrig-grau und landet ganz sacht
vor meinen Füßen. Wow, sie ist so weich und schön 
denke ich, als mir bereits alle Sinne vergehen.
Die Vogelperspektive nehm ich nicht ein
doch mit fehlt der Überblick und hier unten scheint
Eh nur Chaos zu herrschen und vereint
ist hier ohnehin niemand.

Und ich lutsch dunkle Bohnen, sie kommen von weit her 
im Mund herb bitter, ich zerknack sie. So leer,
alles zu, alles dicht, kein Mensch hier vor Ort,
dystopische Beton-Turnhallen – für den Sport.

Und vollgeschmierte Wände hier, drüben und dort
als sich der Tod von MF Doom in mein Gehirn einbohrt.
Kein Entengang, den die Kids in vollen Hallen üben…
Manchmal kommt es über mich, allerdings nur in Schüben.
So steh ich da, die Schwaden wabern – ich blicke rauf
ich seh sie ziehn, kann sie verstehn
auch ich war seinerzeit da und hab schrill geschrien.

Und ich lutsch dunkle Bohnen, sie kommen von weit her 
im Mund herb bitter, ich zerknack sie. So leer,
alles zu, alles dicht, kein Mensch hier vor Ort,
dystopische Beton-Turnhallen –  für den Sport.

Damals hab ich das Blut von der Nase abgewischt, 
doch nun ist unser Kartenspiel neu gemischt.
Die Sadistin kriegt mich jetzt nicht mehr klein, 
so denke ich, 
als mich ein recht trauriger Gedanke beschlich…

Was bedeutet Würde?
Brüder kennen sie nicht mehr.
Eine Kuhle in der Couch löscht das Ehrenamt vermehrt.
Heidi Klum fesselt die Quote,
da in Libyen: So viele Tote!

Ihr da oben, wir da unten
so ein schales Gefühl
all die Weltsicht aus der Glotze,
Lauf ohne Ziel.

Diesen schwer vernarbten Opfern 
fehlen wöchentlich die Brote, friend,
und die Omas sagen „nee“ und „GER“.
Ne – noch was draufgesetzt,
das, was vom Krieg noch übrig ist,
sind bloße blankgewetzte Kaffeekannen-Sets.

Unter Lichtern derselben Sonne 
leben manche mitten zwischen Tonnen und Tonnen von Plastik,
da, im Land der Winde und des Drachen,
doch, ah, der Wind hat gedreht und so wächst halt auch nichts – 
wo sie auch durchsehen.

Ihr da oben, wir da unten
so ein schales Gefühl
all die Weltsicht aus der Glotze,
Lauf ohne Ziel.

Wenn man Skizzen auf Blättern sieht, 
Schlauchboote aus Plastik,
Wege Richtung Sicherheit und dann klappt`s nicht.
Ist besser einen Menschen in `nem Drittland abzuweisen
Oder wie in Mazedonien Kinder übern Zaun zu schmeißen?
Ok, Sozialstaat, Du bist endlich.
Doch Transformation braucht Zeit
und hassen ist menschlich.
Wenn man einmal dabei bleibt:
große Freiheit durch die Kolonien,
Bananen essen geht, nur nicht mit den Produzenten.
Platt, aber traurig: vom roten Meer bis Blaulicht
für viele Menschen bleibt nur Rauschgift
Im Zwielicht.
Der Sprengel hilft sich selbst, nicht?

S.E.T.I.

We find ourselves submerged beneath a derelict central Berlin building occupied by artists and anarchists. It is flooded with heavy electronic noise, smoke, damp stale air, and unfettered indifference.

The individual creating the noise is not visible, all we see are the loudspeakers behind a barrier. The performer becomes utterly irrelevant, and I decide the sound might as well be coming from a swollen tomato. 

As the noise reaches its peak, bouncing off the dirty brick basement walls, I feel compelled to shout back in response. A German lady asks if I am part of the performance, and I tell her that we all are.

This is the outro I wrote in connection to a short documentary I am working at about a sculptor near my hometown. The track features an alto flute the artist was playing in the last scene of the movie. I added various instruments such as melodica, Rhodes, keyboard,... and also kept background noises of the original scene, such as a cat, steps and my own camera noises (me opening the aperture of my DSLR cam). The structure I would call parallelly interwoven.
