This Is Electro Swing: Vol 3 (Contraband)

Due to our good friends from Firespace, we had the great opportunity to contribute a little bit of our music to the infamous Fusion Festival - in our opinion, one of the most beautiful festivals in the world regarding electronic music.
Despite we had - like the year before - a little bit of rain during our floor times, it was one of the most intense experiences we made, since our start as a team in 2007.

The journey was opened from 5am to 7am by our most famous member Martin Anacker, who played a really groovy "vinyl only" set connecting the good old times with brand-new vibes. Have a closer look to his sound, if you like his set over here. And don't forget to like, if he convinces you, like he always convinces us.

Baba Sikander, the newest member of our little music brotherhood, took the next step in our journey and guided us through mysterious woods. As an experienced storyteller, he made us dream and fly at the same time. Great stuff! Have a look at his soundcloud and discover for yourself, what "Schingeling" really means:

After a rain induced pause, Niemand & Keiner slowed down the pace a lot. Between 110 and 113 BPM their travel from dark to light was devoted to the dancers and chillers, who needed a little bit of rest from the hammering Tanzwüste and the other, harder floors. Accompanied by the beautiful sun, they emptied their treasure box 5 hours in a row (17°° to 22°°). Here are the first two hours of their journey. Their new studio mix was uploaded just a month ago, so have a look at their soundcloud, if you like, what you heard - but careful: It´s faster - 118 BPM and running!

bv: Hey Illy! Wir freuen uns, Dich in unserer Podcast-Reihe begrüßen zu dürfen! Was hast du uns für ein Set mitgebracht?
IN: Ein Kessel Buntes würde ich meinen. Schöne, deepe, zum Teil auch herbstliche Tracks, die ich im Moment feier' und die mir ans Herz gewachsen sind.

bv: Wie gehst Du an die Erstellung eines Podcasts ran? Was beeinflusst Dich?
IN: Eigentlich entscheide ich das nach Bauchgefühl. Ich hab da immer den Kopf frei, drehe meine Boxen auf und schaue dann was passiert. 

bv: Was braucht ein Track für Dich, damit Du Dich beatverliebst und welcher Track hat Dich in letzter Zeit so richtig umgehauen?
IN: Ich liebe groovige Sachen. Der Rhythmus muss einfach da sein. Das kann eine einzelne Snare oder Hi-Hat sein, die einfach den Track so spannend und interessant macht. Aber das ist auch das schwerste beim Produzieren. Kommt eben auch immer auf die Stimmung an. Zuletzt waren es die Bomben von Christian Nielsen. Der hat einfach den Beat raus. Super Flu und Monkey Safari kriegen mich aber auch immer wieder.

bv: Deine letzte EP 'Galactic Threesome' ist Ende Juni erschienen. Mitgewirkt haben auch die Kollegen Paflo und Maurice Deek. Wie kam es zu der Zusammenarbeit?
IN: Die Paflo Jungs kenn ich aus Halle. Die sind einfach mega talentiert und super sympathisch. Die haben so gute Basslines am Start. Wir wollten einfach was zusammen machen und haben dann an den Ideen zu Galactic Threesome und Memory gemeinsam geschraubt. Den Maurice kenn ich über meinen Kontakt zu M.in. Einfach auch ein toller Typ der nochmal einen tollen Ansatz für das Projekt gefunden hat. Einfach ein gutes Paket.

bv: Was steht als nächstes bei Dir an und was sind Deine musikalischen Ziele?
IN: Als nächstes kommt ein Release auf Benn Finns Label Finn Records mit 3 Originalen. Dann hab ich gerade eine EP auf Telekollegen aus Dresden gesigned. Das sin die die immer die tollen Bühnen für die Fusion und das 3000Grad Festival bauen. Tolle Typen und ein feines Label. Da freu ich mich drauf. Wir planen gerade in Halle unser großes Abschluss Open Air am 04.10. Das wird schön, da freuen sich schon ganz viele drauf. Ansonsten immer Studio, Studio, Studio

Neumarkt native Erman Erim has, over the
past few of years, become an integral
member of the Terminal M family. Since his
2008 "4Takt" release, Erman has
been the 'go to' producer for label chief
Monika Kruse and her unfaltering support
has earned two full releases and numerous
remixes on the label. Erman's fantastic
"Whistled Wisdom," a huge favourite with
Loco Dice and Marco Carola, was
included in the second volume of Terminal
M's "Ten Years Love" which was followed by
2011 remixes of Tomy DeClerq and
Monika's own dancefloor classic, "Latin
Lovers."
Now, as we head for winter and the
temperature outside begins to drop, Erman
readies his latest heatseekers and a
homage to Nurnberg's finest nightspot.
December 2010 saw the closure of the
legendary Zoom Club. A institution in
German clubbing, Zoom played host to
many of the biggest names in Techno. With
its dark, rough, dirty charm and huge
variety of electronic music, Zoom held
iconic status within the scene. Erman's
"Never Ending Stories" EP seeks to express
the feelings the Club gave to so many, with
the title track expressing the sadness at its
closure.
The EP certainly sees Erman bring the
'Noise.' From the opening growling synth
and vicious groove of "French Kiss" to the
the indie-electro styling and vocals of
"Never Ending Zoom Stories" via the volcanic
bouncing crescendo of "Kollektiv," we are
treated to the wild and expressive face of
Erman Erim and we love it!
