I first began a passion for house music in the late eighties through Chicago House CDs featuring the likes of Marshall Jefferson, Farley Jackmaster etc and got my first (horrible) set of Cloud decks in 1990 at age of 16. Two years later I moved onto Technics SL1210s...and I still have them today. I began going out to clubs like Ark in Leeds and fell in love with the whole northern house scene.....I still can't shake off the cravings for screaming female vocals and pounding pianos!

Moving to Birmingham in 1993 I DJ'd in clubs like Branstons (Crunch/Wobble), The Steering Wheel, Bakers and Bonds, playing mostly chunky house, with plenty of vocals and a touch of prog. In 2000, I packed the decks away, a bit disillusioned with it all, but I still 'kept my hat in the ring'. Over the past couple of years I've found myself downloading more and more great tracks, so in Spring 2008 I decided to have a crack at digital mixing on the laptop.

All mixes on this site  have been done on a laptop using the basic Virtual DJ package with no post-production - just a virtual crossfader and two virtual decks....lets keep it simple! They're mainly tech/electro house, with some funky house classics, but always have an uplifting feel and I still love a good vocal. As long as the tune has had some thought go into it and has "good noises" (!) then I'm into it. As one of my good friends says...I'm still a big-tunes-slag!
