Julian Jansen aka Uranium Mind, discovered Trance/Electronica at the age of eleven, stumbling upon his first trance album, this was the beginning of a love affair bound by the power and mysticism of trance. Subsiding in years of intent listening to the progressions and sounds of many genres’ Uranium Mind was born. Known for his strong foundations in Psychedelic and Progressive Trance, Uranium brings a cutting edge journey through a radiating expanse of electronica from driving night time basslines to intrinsically woven sets of soulful euphoria. 

As an Artist Uranium has sparked interest in more ways than one, his desire to express his diversity of musicality has always been at the forefront of his project. With a unique sense of style that is intrinsically personal to his character and artistic approach. You can expect a journey that deeply reflects the man behind the project whether it be somewhere between a tough and edgy night time psychedelic set to a blissful ethereal tech/trance earthy extravaganza, Uranium Mind is artist worth keeping a close eye on.  

In recent times Uranium has been playing out across Australia with tracks such as “Never Mind the Waking World”, “The Pyramid” and “We are One” helping him to land sets alongside acts such as “Vini Vici” at Colour of Sound, playing Dragon Dreaming Festival (ACT) eclectic New Year’s Eve sets at Tanglewood Vic, bringing the Sunrise at Rainbow Serpent Festival 2017 and recently “Where the Wild Things Are” among many other of Australia’s favourite electronic music festivals and indoor parties. 

2019 has seen Uranium Mind deliver his second EP 'Gods of the Underworld', a carefully crafted arrangement of full power Psy/Progressive. Bound in deep atmospheres, hypnotic basslines, melodic grooves progressive scores and a sure sense of journey through transcendental states. Uranium revels in the development of his new productions, a keen sense of direction and focus has launched him toward a heavier more driving selection of tracks that have cemented him within the progressive night time arena. With more productions currently underway expect to see more releases from the talented artist in 2019.

I enjoy listening to new innovative sounds of today and love psytrance,dubstep and folk, classical with a twist and hiphop too! I play flute, guitar, recorder, gumleaf and the clap sticks.Of course not forgetting the castanets and the spoons.Music takes me from the ordinary to the special sphere of entertainment and beyond.
