Chuchi wirkt als Dj seit 2018 und ist vor allem im Rhein-Main-Gebiet vorzugsweise in den *Perma-*Kulturgärten in der Schwanheimer Düne oder in Sindlingen open air inmitten der Natur anzutreffen.
 
Mit ihrem vielseitigen und herzöffnenden über 4 Stunden langen Mitschnitt hat sie bei der Kulturgarteneröffnung in Sindlingen am 24.07.21 zu einem bunt gemischten Programm bei getragen. Viel Spaß damit...

Chuchi has been working as a DJ since 2018 and can be found mainly in the Rhine-Main area, preferably in the *Perma-*Kulturgärten in the Schwanheimer Düne or in Sindlingen (both near Frankfurt am Main)open air in the midst of nature.
 
With her versatile and heart-opening over 4-hour recording, she contributed to a colourful programme at the opening of the Kulturgarten in Sindlingen on 24 July 21. Have fun with it...

The artist - and traveler at heart - David Mears was born in the south of France and is currently based in Nice. He started to produce “math rock” 3 years ago, but since then David’s music has evolved into a reflection of himself: emotional, deep, a blend of different places, stories and sensitivities. 
This UCR podcast is the third episode in his SENSA trilogy and is named after a powerful place in India that inspired him so much, he decided to record its native sounds to create the beginning of this set. 
VARANASI was produced like all of David’s music: he composes different elements, one after the other, and then records everything live in one take. The result is beautiful sets that build up slowly, move in waves and take the listener on a melancholic journey throbbing with heartbeats. He considers music to be about exchange and encourages other musicians, dancers and performers to collaborate with him during shows.
So sit back, get into Cosmonaut mode and immerse yourself in the profound narrative of David Mears’ musical territory.

Our next urban cosmic-cast was mixed by an artist who needs no introduction. 

Mimi Love has played herself into the hearts of countless people all over the globe with her signature sound and unforgettable gigs. Her sets are diverse and distinct, and have been known to move people’s hearts and feet in equal measure wherever she plays.
Although she can often be found discovering unknown territories, Berlin is the place where she loves to take off and land. As a member of the infamous Bachstelzen crew and resident DJ at Katerblau, she is deeply rooted in the German capital, where she has been playing many different roles in “this theatre called underground” for the past 10 years.

Her heartwarming style encompasses both slow and fast vibes, spanning a mixture of electronica-ethno, soft rock - downtempo hiphop all the way to what she calls pop-techno. This podcast is peek into her colourful collection, a mix that showcases the different kinds of music she has collected over the past months. It shows us a side of Mimi Love that we don’t always get to see in clubs - one that we’ve very happy to be able to experience for ourselves with her specially curated mix for Urban Cosmonaut Radio. As music lovers, we all asked ourselves at least once what music is about. What is its function? How did it become such an important component of our lives? Maguera (https://soundcloud.com/maguera) questioned himself about it too, and he concluded that for him it is all about communication and profound emotions. This talented Italo-Danish composer, musician, and electronic producer believes that music is the strongest medium available to reach people, and he employed it to send out a call to self-reflection to our listeners and to himself. In fact, he told us of his thoughts about the decreasing ability of the people to feel empathy and how this is affecting our essence. This is the main theme of the splendid mix he recorded for UCR. His concern towards the rising narcissism and egomania, as well as his hope for an imminent change of direction, drove the artist in the recording of the mix. It’s possibly the duel between these controversial strong emotions that makes this mix so beautifully heterogeneous, with melancholic notes alternating with gleeful and dreamy moments. The set consists mostly of Maguera’s own productions played live, which the artist blended masterfully with others’ tracks, and it’s meant to stimulate our capability to travel through our thoughts and feelings about empathy. Despite his elusiveness and humbleness, Maguera has made great display of the communicative power of his sound and of his moral depth. We at UCR are delighted to share his set with our listeners and welcome his call to self-reflection.
