Reflecting back to hip hop's Golden Era when starting out back in the day, his life in NC and his development through the years both personally and musically, the album represents a biographical snapshot depicted openly and honestly. In May 2020, New Dawn Records brought you "Panacea" by London rapper Phoenix da Icefire & producer Husky Brown. Nominated for "Best Independent Album" at the AIM Awards 2020 due to its incredible mix of hip hop, soul, r&b, dub and electronica providing the soundtrack for one of the most creative, relevant and prescient narratives of these turbulent times.  Issues relating to the environment, physical and mental health, racism, prejudice, street life, aspirations and interdependence were all addressed with a refreshing underlying theme of hope for the future.

In August 2021 the label released "Lead by Example" by renowned London rapper Ramson Badbonez, his first time behind the boards.  One of the most impressive production debuts witnessed for many years is also very rare in nature with such a phenomenal line up of guest featured artists from the UK, US and Canada all standing shoulder to shoulder on the one record delivering a showcase of the highest calibre beats, rhymes and turntablism.

Finally after the long term impact of the Covid 19 restrictions, you have the first chance to see tracks from these fantastic albums performed live on the same night at London's Brixton Jamm on Friday November 12th 2021 thanks to our friends at Hoochinoo, the event organizer.  This mix blends a little from both as a taster of what you can expect to hear.  A night not to be missed for all hip hop connoisseurs.

Detroit's Kid Vishis, younger brother of Royce da 5 9, releases his debut album "Timing is Everything" on 22nd July through Seven 13 Entertainment.

East coast duo Constant Deviants return a year after releasing the critically acclaimed "Avant Garde" with a new concept album "Omerta", out 28th June through Six2Six Records on vinyl, CD and digital formats.

Following precedents set by Kool Keith's "Tashan Dorsett" and Little Brother's "The Minstrel Show", Emcee M.I. and DJ Cutt draw from their respective Italian and Russian heritages to adopt the roles of Luciano and Lansky in this themed presentation which has their trademark classic hip hop sound at its core.

Constant Deviants - So Underrated (produced By DJ Cutt)

New joint by east coast duo Constant Deviants who release their new album "Omerta" on June 28th.

"Cutt for President" is a bonus track recorded recently with MC M.I.'s instantly recognizable flows making way for generous sections of turntablism supplied by the man himself, DJ Cutt.

The Baltimore rapper is currently in his home city filming scenes for a new movie "Can't Live Without My Radio".  He stars in and produced another new film "Six2Six" which also features Treach, Syleena Johnson and Chief Rocker Busy Bee, a film which has been selected by the Hip Hop Film Festival to be screened in NYC in August.  The festival is run by Ralph McDaniels and Julien Lockhart

Constant Deviants will be performing in Baltimore as part of the LoudPalooza event taking place at Castaways on June 25th.  The following day they will be in NYC for a week long series of radio & press interviews, with a special album launch event also in the works.

"Cutt for President" received its first radio airing last night on DJ Eclipse's Rap Is Outta Control Show on Sirius XM's Hip Hop Nation.

Concept album "Omerta" has a theme based on Baltimore rapper M.I. and New Jersey producer DJ Cutt's respective Italian and Russian heritage, the pair adopting the roles of Luciano and Lansky.

In the traditional art of storytelling, the album presents a series of sonic screenplays set in the mafiosa underworld, depicting familiar times, events and cultural reference points used metaphorically to convey parallel meaning.

DJ Cutt's use of jazzy breaks, funk, rock, soul and electronica provides a perfect, edgy atmospheric backdrop.  As M.I. moves through the decades to set the next drama, Cutt's accompanying beats suggest a flavour of the time while remaining undeniably hip hop in nature.

With expert marksman Luciano kicking the verbal ballistics aided and abetted by Lansky's musical ammunition, these couple of hip hop goodfellas have once again produced a classic.

Ohio's Copywrite releases his new album, God Save The King (Proper English Version) on 15th May 2012 on Man Bites Dog Records.

The album includes features by some of the hottest MCs from the UK and USA, including London's Genesis Elijah, Iron Braydz and Mystro who also appear together in this latest video. "Royal Flush" is a special bonus track put together to celebrate the international flavour of the album.

Ahead of the release of his first solo album in 10 years, "Lock'd N The Lab" due out late August, Bumpy Knuckles releases his new EP "The Mix Files" on 18th June as a joint venture between Seven13 Music & Krupt Mob.

Made up almost entirely of new material which will not appear on the album, it includes the previously released Ask the Coach, Word ft Sy Ari Tha Kid and this new single Somn'Wrong

Both the EP and album are entirely self produced by Freddie Foxxx.  This will be a busy summer for Bumpy with the release of his EP, album and the putting together of a new UK and European tour for later in the year. He is also working on some further collaborations which should see the light of day in the coming months

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the release of the classic album "Critical Beatdown", Ultramagnetic MCs are touring the UK and Europe in July

Hailed as one of the early innovators of the sampling techniques employed by producer Ced Gee, the release influenced future generations for years to come. On tour will be Kool Keith, Ced Gee and T R Love, their first as a group in Europe since the release of the album, and will be an extremely rare opportunity for fans to see the legends perform the classics live.
