With this incredibly smooth single titled “Austice” Toonorth revisits his love for the R&B & Soul vibe. Reminiscing of one of his best albums “Long Story Short” that he released on Radio Juicy a few years ago. The song is full of melancholy while evoking that all good things eventually come to an end. Toonorth plays each instrument masterfully, the keys and bass having a beautiful duet while being supported by a perfect drumline. Making Austice an incredible track that will please every refined connoisseur of instrumental hip hop.

Toonorth - Austice

Rewind is the first single out of the upcoming Rewind EP by SYNC.EXE, Jonathan Berroa and Jonah Malcom. These three teenage musicians and producers from Maryland & New York have a lot of passion for their music. All three of them are brilliant pianists and keyboardists. Together they managed to produce an incredible album which today we are glad to announce and introduce with this track. Rewind takes you on a chill journey filled with harmonies and keys resting on a strong foundation of R&B and Hip Hop beats. With the playful jazzy melodies taking us right into lofi territory. In this song you can clearly hear all three musicians going at it without restraints. Showcasing each of their musical signatures in a triumphant ensemble.

Urban Waves is happy to present KaspaHauser to the label's roster and as the first entry in our new single series. This time around the theme is "Sound of Nature" the series will feature new and returning artists that will take the concept and work on tracks with Nature as the main source of inspiration!
With this new song titled “Rain Dance”, the Jazz head KaspaHauser creates a soothing atmosphere with the use of jazzed out chords on the Rhodes. The laid back tune is complimented by a catching synth lead, a funk infused bassline and well textured drums that are smartly mapped out. The song is inspired by the fleeting feeling of euphoria while dancing under the rain. The artist wanted to create a wholesome experience with an organic sound drawing form genres such as Jazz-Hop, Jazzy electronica and Lo-fi beats. The result is simply magical. Just kick back put your headphones on, close your eyes and let the music take you away!

Stan Forebee is returning with a beautiful track titled “Low Tide” that is part of our new series “Sounds of Nature”. He wrote this one in between Melbourne lockdowns when he felt at a low point of inspiration and isolated from his inner essence and nature, hence the title “Low Tide”. As he tried to put those feelings into the melody of the song, the sound of waves resembles longing back to his favourite nature beach strip, escaping the city walls. The song inspired him to look back at the last couple years of weird world events as well as looking forward to a better future ahead. This song is deep and meditative and filled with sorrow and hope. Which hits the perfect spot for this new autumn season!

Stan Forebee - Low Tide

The newest track by invention_ "Oxygenate" is inspired by taking it easy, and not over judging creative output. This track reminds the listener to stop and take a deep breath. A bit in the style of a video game soundtrack, invention_ successfully captures the sound of the "feel good" vibe in a simple but efficient song. Probably the perfect music for walking outside in nature and let go of all stress and pressure. With the end of the year right around the corner this beautiful track is just what we needed.

On this new flip the three musicians got together and recorded a track reminiscent of 70’s funk. Groovy guitar riffs and lush keys paired with tastefully executed drums are driving the track forward and immerse the listener into a sunny and relaxed atmosphere. To continue with our "Sounds of Nature" series, here's a beautiful contrasted and nuanced track by the Danish producer and instrumentalist Axian. Canopy is a jazzy track that is inspired by scenic views in nature and a mental state of bliss. Its laidback vibe gives you a feeling of relaxation while the uplifting composition stimulates your motivation. The track features mellow guitar playing, soothing strings and a tight drum groove that will leave you in awe and wanting to play it again!

Here's a long overdue collab with Mecca:83 who brought us a wonderful track for our Sounds of Nature series!
Mecca:83's studio overlooks fields so it's only natural that his track titles end up reflecting times and seasons in nature. Morning Mists was created on a suitably dewy morning, just as the sun was rising. Giving the track a sense of awakening, and the feeling of a great day starting.  The production itself is primarily built from layers of jazz, library and soul records, with a dash of live percussion to make it a touch more organic. Morning Mist transpose us to a place with magical scenery and provides with a breath of fresh air. Enjoy!
