Wooo I am studying electronic music academically now! This particular song was done as an assignment for my music theory class where we were exploring composition principles in baroque music. It is done in the rondo arrangement form and strives to sonically recreate an external narrative (program music). I am really happy how it turned out, and it accidentally serves as a teaser for the 2024 album I am working on rn (mostly thematically and visually, but sonically too a little). I hope you enjoy!!!

Your journey has led you to a mysterious looking portal. Holes in the floor try to bite you and the tentacles sticking from it get more erratic the closer you come. Your instincts tell you it's a bad idea, but you feel an irresistible urge to see what's on the other side. The light is so bright and shiny...the ambience coming from it, so soothing. And it's not like you have much to look forward to in your own world..."fuck it", you say, and get past the tentacles.

You take a step into the unknown and suddenly feel the light surrounding you and filling your entire body. It feels...stretchy. Maybe a little too stretchy. It keeps pushing and pushing and pushing and your skin feels tighter and tigher and...

Oh. You died. Like, combusted.

I don't really know what to do now, I wasn't prepared for that situation.

While "INTRUDER" was somewhat a teaser for my 2024 album, this is just a very out of pocket random release lol. I was asked to make a song with the vague concept of "main character dying in the middle of the song'' and I proceeded to do just that! Made this one all in one session and it was so.fun.to.make. I made this track over the course of one day in October. Initially, just like "INTRUDER", it was my homework for music theory class, where this time I was tasked to make a song with a sonata structure. I unfortunately got too carried away with the assignment due to how much I liked what I was making and made the actual song structure unclear because of that lmao. But that's oooookay, because the finished result is one of my favourite things I have made recently and the process of making it was probably the most fun and manic dopamine ride I had with making music this year :>. The cover art was made by me literally just giving Ippy the track and them drawing whatever they imagined when listening to it haha, I think it came out beautifully and really put this piece in a new light for me!
