‘Gone Too Long’ from rising duo Him_Self_Her is a bonafide bomb - house with feeling and a massive bassline and killer vocal from Kieran Fowkes. Reinvigorated by Crosstown Rebels for a re-release after it came out on Mexican label Cream Couture last year, this time the infectious original comes backed with remixes from Belgian hero Compuphonic, who injects more bounce, bleeps and emotive melody and the mighty Yousef who’s darker ‘Circus Rework’ is a deep affair of rolling drums and dubby textures.

Dynamic duo Him_Self_Her is the astute combination of Claire and Leon who came together after honing individual skills for many years on their local scene in Leicester. All that it took was one studio session to realise the potency of their union and their genre blending productions are showing no bounds - ranging from deep grooves to disco infused techno. ‘Gone Too Long’ was originally released in 2012 and championed by Pete Tong (Essential New Tune) and supported by the likes of Jamie Jones. Damian Lazarus has now signed the duo and along with this re-release there is more to come on the label and the duo also have their debut album in the works.

One of the youngest DJs on the Belgian DJ circuit, Maxime Firket aka Compuphonic broke onto the international scene with a release on Tiga’s Turbo Recordings. Further releases have dropped on highly acclaimed labels including Modular, Darkroom Dubs, Systematic Recordings, 2020 Vision and Parquet Recordings.

Yousef is a mainstay of UK house music. With a career spanning over ten years, the heavyweight  DJ / Producer and Promoter founded Circus Recordings and events and has appeared on some of the most revered and respected labels in the business - Carl Cox’s Intec, Nick Curly’s Cecille, Saved and of course Sven Vath’s Cocoon Recordings - which released ‘Come Home’, Yousef’s stunning Piece de Resistance.

Continuing on and in anticipation of the winter season, we welcome Andrew Kay with his Deep Dark house debut release entitled 'Dark Magic Energy.'

Andrew Kay took us by storm when he part took in one of the editions of our Deep House label Deep seasonal compilation. Since he deliver to us a three pack maxi single that was edgy, Deep, Dark yet had an innate focus on the Tech side.  Our first impression was, Winter release, fitting the mood and vibe of the season.  While the production cautiously make the fine line of deepness its predominant elements ,song structure and arrangement, more specifically the groove structure made it clear that this Deep Tech house pack would be the perfect transitional release to mark the Winter season for Aquasound's release lineup.

Initially their simple demeanor will have you perplexed but, as each production evolve, you start perceiving the smartness and complexity of each of these production. Extremely technical in nature each element sits in their respective 'sound pockets' in the spectrum allowing them to fully accomplish what the producer had in mind when laying the production together.

It is here where we find the exquisiteness and complexity in a single that is outright innovative.

Our next artist is someone who is no stranger to this label, already featured in two of our past editions of Deop, Australian producer Jared Daly marks his official solo debut on our Deep House imprint. 'Particles' is the collection of four original productions that caught our attention the moment the first downbeat hit the speakers.

Centering his style heavily on the groove arrangement with subtle melodic support by using some exquisite pads.  Jared style is at first seemingly simple, it is in this 'simplicity' where when dissecting the song structure we find its intricacies in his arrangement style.

El objetivo de Local MX fue claro desde el comienzo: construir canales por medio de los cuales generar mayor repercusión para la nueva escena mexicana de música house y estilos aledaños. 
Paso un año desde la publicación de "Compilado LOCAL # 01", y realmente el rebote que tuvo ese disco en el público nos sorprendió. La edición en CD se nos escapó de entre las manos. Esos discos se distribuyeron de forma gratuita en eventos en distintos puntos del país con una velocidad que dio vértigo. La edición online ha tenido mas de 26000 escuchas y 6500 descargas.
Sabemos que Local MX es una partecita de un gran organismo que en poco tiempo ha demostrado buena salud, ya que varios de los artistas que formaron parte de ese primer intento hoy están completamente en otra situación, con participación crucial en sellos, clubes y festivales de distintas partes del mundo. Y eso tiene que ver con un avance claro en lo compositivo / sonoro. Con la evolución de su talento.
Estos músicos han crecido, manejan al 100% su propio lenguaje, y ahora van por más.   
Por eso, el lanzamiento de "Compilado LOCAL # 02" es algo lógico y más que justificado. Es una segunda vuelta que busca reflejar y dejar plasmado en una imagen sonora el momento que transita la escena a nivel nacional.

"This track is much darker, but still pretty sexy and soulful. The whole thing is dark and futuristic.” Maceo's new track "Galactic Cinema" anchors his mix, which is available April 30th on !K7.

A two track EP featuring both new Maceo Plex tracks from DJ-Kicks ("Galactic Cinema" and "Mind On Fire") will be available on Beatport on April 15th.
