10 is a number that looks very nice. Fresh and friendly it says: „Hey Hello, look, now we are two“ ...the 1 and the 0. The binary base of your civilization. Somehow we got the feeling, we should honor this. Why so ever, lets just do it, because it is beautiful, beacuse our music that we record and produce is also just a binary code, transforming over and over again, from our fingers on the synths, from the mic to the mixer, from the mixer into space, back on black plastics or bluetoothing through your walls directly in your ear...and this just because there is a 1 and a 0. This is why we celebrate, to say thank you to these magic numbers. Without these two little friends we would drum our techno with bones in analog caves. Naked. Oh Wait...that sounds great...the URSL Cave Raves. Mmmmh...well we will keep you in the loop on this new project. In the meantime you can listen to some electronic music from Canson, Christian Hülshoff and Zebra Centauri.

While carefully handling their respective careers, postponing then their obvious collaboration, Möd3rn trio's members have capitalized its desire and now deliver its mere substance, in the rightest moment, where, simply, all the distant forces converge.
The six daring, expert hands merge now into a unique entity, unanimously moving within the same effort towards techno music. Of the distinct identities merely remains the ethereal, synthetic essence devoted to the group, and the common musical passion that leads it. The formula is elaborated freely: each one's adjunctions -subtle keys, nervous chords, underground blows, rhythmical uproars- pour into a thick maelstrom, opaque, condensing Detroit's grieving sensibilities as well as last decade's bewildering cacophonies. The potion obtained is irresistible, an ecstatic hybrid, prodigiously actual, that renders all the genre's diversity and dynamism.
Chance intertwined their paths and now the three companions celebrate both the friendship that resulted and the good fortune that has driven it, by improvising live together as one faceless, solid body agitated by the urge of dance and music, composing the material that shall be processed later on to form their eponym label's releases.

Damn, time is running by. After releasing Mono Negro ́s 3rd Strike EP in February, label head Ante Perry is musically responsible for the 3rd be an ape release. 1980 was a great year for him, because he was born in it. Born in 1980 is an hommage to a decade, which influenced him a lot. World traveller Teenage Mutants was also influenced musically by this decade (he has a huge 80ties sound folder on his mobile), so there wasn ́t any better artist to remix Born in 1980. The ep will be completed by No Entrance With Shorts, a track which was made after a night, where Ante was not allowed to enter a club with his fancy shorts somewhere in Germany. Listen loud – freak out!

Oberst & Buchner are next up on Freeride Millenium and the two Bavaria born, Vienna based producers deliver an EP that offers their interpretation of what “modern summer togetherness sounds like.” The talented pair started making music together aged 15 and aim to cook up emotionally driven jams. 

They do so on labels like Heimlich, Underyourskin Records, Schönbrunner Perlen, Lokd, and always get the juices going, as they do once again here. 

Beginning with the brilliant ‘Greg’ we dive into a breakbeat bath of summery chords as playful claves dance on the horizon. It is a melodically rich track with spiritual feelings that really bliss you out. 

On the moodier ‘Emile’ night time arrives and warm chords mix with jangling, organic glass and percussive tinkles that reflect rays of light. It’s a perfectly jazzy and loose number that really suspends you in a rueful place. 

Last but not least, ‘Embrace; is a fluid intergalactic convention with sparse drum kicks weighed down by sombre synths. A skittish, dubstep style groove then comes in and elevates the track with gentle guitar licks and slithering synths adding colour, and overall it has the same zoned out feel as a thousand-yard stare. This is a brilliant mood EP that mixes up the synthetic with the organic, creating some fascinating grooves as a result. 

The release once again features original artwork from the ever talented Daniel Rajcsanyi.

The sixth chapter from Moscoman kicks off with Big Jack Arbon, an unambiguous summer anthem tied up by digital steel drums and pitched chants. On the flip, Things Forgot To Be This Way calls for the never-ending daze of the after hours with Disco infused melodies and distant vocals floating atop doped down beats. Closing track Unheard Melody sets a different pace. Wistful Mediterranean guitars pick unhurried melodies while delays cloud the track in just the right amount of sleaze.

Soukie & Windish – Marketa Lazarova was inspired by the Czech movie from the late 60's that bears the same name and tells the story of the daughter of a feudal lord who is kidnapped by neighbouring robber knights and becomes a mistress of one of them. While the movie takes place in an indeterminate time during the Middle Ages, the EP delivers modern sounds filled with atmospheric melodies and groove basslines. These elements combined brings a nostalgic feeling that gets even more insteresting when mixed with the echoed voice samples taken from the original film. A masterpiece by the Berlin duo in their debut at EKORD!

Our Label-boss, A&R, Division Manager and passionate caretaker Marco Resmann goes back to his musical roots. In between contributing a track on the “Watergate X Compilation”, taking piano lessons and installing VDSL cable, the analogue-sound-production-lover has found the time to lay an egg in his nest with "Roots". It has become an old-school egg! With a thick shell, a soft core and "A-Side" quality. Although his 360° stress in his Upon You headquarter, one can definitely tell that he still finds the privacy in his studio to breed: for A-Sides house-poultry such as "Roots" and dark spooky B-Side pearls - in this case named "Twelve".
