Helge ‘QBX’ Schneider is an electronica live act from Hamburg. During the pandemic, he spent lots of his time dreaming about lost places and transforming them into deep soundscapes in his small bedroom studio. For the newly founded La Ola Musik label he created the track “Antarctica”, which takes the listener into a downtime wide ice desert.

Bisu & Otto Schillerd haben die Vorspeise für Heimlich Knüller am 12.03 kreiert und netterweise das ganze auch noch aufgenommen, um euren Heißhunger nach fein abgeschmeckten Downtempo zu befriedigen. 

Wer bīsu schon kennt, der weiß was jetzt kommt. Eine Geschmacksachterbahn durch die Gefilden des Downtempos. meistens ruhig aber manchmal auch schnell, aber vor allem trifft es immer das was man in dem Moment gerade begehrt. An alle, die noch nicht seine Releases, Sets oder LIve Auftritte, als z.B. Resident im Conny Kramer oder auf dem Lichtalben Festival gehört haben, macht euch gefasst auf eine Reise mitgenommen zu werden, die wirklich jeden Hunger nach ununterbrochener aber stimmiger Abwechslung in Musik stillt 

Zusammen mit Otto Schillerd, der als begnadigter Sternekoch in Münster, Menschen schon lange zum Tanzen bringt und stets auf der Suche ist, deepe und intensive Tracks in die Sets miteinzubauen, haben beide ein 2,5 Stündiges zauberhaftes Set für uns gebrüht. In diesem Set ist alles dabei: 

Vorspeise, Hauptgericht und Nachspeiße!

JeBoDa, the eponym of the EP, impresses with its deep and driving beats. The subtly audible bell sounds give the track a spherical vibe.
New Rooms stands out with its guitar sounds and reminds of a room filled with a swaying mass of happy dancing people.
Watertalk is divided into a short version and a long version. Both take you on a dark journey deep into the core of the music and hardly let you go. At the same time, the musicians manage to convey a light, almost floating mood.

This EP is inspired by the cultural heritage which the Argentines and Chileans seek to perpetuate. Ulises has developed cultural and emotional bonds towards the natives, whose struggles he feels and shares. Struggles for their own traditions, their own lands and their own existence. Thanks to the resistance of cultures like the Mapuche we can now enjoy traditional melodies and instruments, such as kultrungs, charangos and quenas, that Ulises skilfully merges with an electronic timber palette to achieve the deep organic sound that we can appreciate in this EP. 
Uña pays homage to the acclaimed quena player Uña Ramos, from the mountainous Jujuy province. Pewünguen derives from a chant in Mapudungun, the Mapuche language, that celebrates the rebirth of nature in spring. Here, the artist adopts the same chant metaphorically, to wish the rebirth of the Mapuches. 
Musician by formation, Ulises plays guitar, keyboard, and drums. Such multi-instrumental skills provide him with a broad range of sounds to blend and wedge into the electronic beat. Talking about the aesthetic he craves, Ulises stated “I want to have the possibility to choose any timber from any source I feel the music needs. No limits!” …and limitless is his desire to explore the vastness of sounds, to experiment new combinations. 
Besides the original tracks, the EP comprises four gems by Carrot Green, Steffen Kirchoff, Arutani, Coss & Iorie, who remixed Ulises’ productions.

"Der Jungbrunnen" is our platform to feature a following generation of talented artists from the neighborhood and beyond. Our next protagonist is a fruitful producer @joe-carl, living in Mainz. In the City acknowledged as cultural stronghold of "Mach Mal Langsam" movement and our 
main base! 

Early on his life Joe Carl detect his love for music and its many facets. Through intensive education in the classical piano, he deepened his understanding of music and learned to express himself through it. He discovered various genres of electronic music in his early teens and since then developed a Passion for deep and driving #slowtech rhythms. It didn’t take long for him to realize how much he enjoys to be the producer of his own stuff.  

Since 2019 the Mainz-based artist has been on the road as a part-time dj at parties, raves and small festivals while releasing his original material on labels such as @baikalnomads, @talparec, @kollektiv-liebe, @cosmovisionrecords or @ost_end. And there is still a lot to come...
