I'm a pseudo one man band based in Atlanta, GA, playing bass, keys, and guitar through a Electro Harmonix 2880 Super Multi-Track Looper, synced to a drum machine.  This space is where I deposit my "sketches", works in progress, and any other music brain dumps I generate.  Tunes found here will be culled into records, the first of which you can find at my Bandcamp page.

"Pseudo" one man band as I do like to work with an acoustic percussionist, so technically the band has two people, but it's fun to say, "I'm a one man band." even if it's not entirely true in the strictest of senses.

Named after a prescription for boredom, Shot of Therapy mix and match tales of the sinister with stories of the spiritual in a Bates Motel style of imagery that has become known as 'Back Porch Baroque.' We have released two studio albums "Wings to Fly"(2001), "Running the Murf"(2008) and are currently recording, mixing and putting the final magic on our next offering at Top Scrap Recordings in Chicago.

Flory now resides in Fort Worth, TX where he splits time between songwriting sessions locally and in Nashville, playing bass and banjo in bands and studio sessions, teaching and most recently working on a film to accompany his upcoming solo EP set to be released in 2018. Also: gardening, trail running, Larry Brown, the Davis Mountains, the incomparable love and support of his partner Anita, family recipes, tackling the Ghazal, native plants of TX, Earl Hines, mules, a nice hat, a decent pair of boots and a ten year old shirt to name a few other things.
