Five Knives began as an art project causing a stir before they’d even performed live. Hailing from Music City, Nashville Nathan Barlowe and Zac Hall wrote a couple of songs, recruited Anna Worstell to sing on them and immediately people wanted to know when they were playing. The group quickly started to cultivate their own scene playing basement shows that were chaotic and explosive with a nihilistic aesthetic. 

The group is responsible for one of the most memorable sets at this year’s SXSW. Anna’s punkish exhortation to murder on the dancefloor takes over the stage, while electronic elements are recreated live by Zach and Nathan, who handles guitar duties. All the while the beat is held down through drummer Shane Wise, leaving audiences to a state of euphoric abandon.

Russian producer PROXY has made a name for himself over the last decade as a mysterious maestro comfortable with creating unusual and inexplicably extraordinary beats. His strangely spellbinding sound has commanded dance floors all over the world.
