Shadow Orchestra I from 1989 consists of an ensemble of electronic and mechanical instruments that can be activated via a control desk of 11 light sensors. Especially the first version of the three-part orchestra work series plays with the interaction of coincidental and static rhythms. The ensemble of the instruments is enlarged on a wall as a silhouette and creates an atmospheric experience of space.
