Sadlark is described in Jack Vance's novel “Cugel's Saga” as an Overworld demiurge who fell to earth  (possibly due to vertigo) and disassociated while on his way to do battle with the demon Underherd at the time of the Cutz Wars of the 17th Aeon.
	To introduce the song and character I use a slightly abrasive steel guitar glissando in lieu of a trumpet fanfare ... for the not inconsiderable reason that I cannot play trumpet.
	The song is constructed entirely of 11-beat measures.


Lyrics:
       Sadlark was a hero who dwelt in the clouds
       his strength was a legend, his manner was proud
       his shield and his sword in battle were weathered
       he carried his armour as if 'twere a feather

       challenged to battle by a demon from hell
       he sharpened his sword and gathered his spells

Echoes From Private Spaces

I  started last night with a funky bass line, but the track wanted to be a reggae :) ... things happen :D .... a carousel of dreams, with a bit real flute and a bit unreal trombone ;) enJoy ! ... by the way, no instant stuff used, except part of the drums are from the midi library of the drum tool I used.

What a treat to bring to be recording and playing with two wonderful Romanian jazz guitarists, Iarina Copuzaru and Andrei Rosulescu.  Together we have created a smooth gospel blues, with Iarina's George Benson sound on the right channel and Andrei's fretless blues solo on the left.  Be sure to follow both these fine players, who are also married. Andrei is an exceptional world class jazz guitarist, who navigates and records the challenging jazz standards with such taste and ease.  Each of them has contributed so much to this smooth sound.
