Mr. Sikandar born at Lahore in 1987. He got his early education at Lahore. The forefather’s of young Khan had been affiliated with the art of Qawwali for the last 600 years. There had a pot of celebrities namely Sahib Dad Khan, Khalaq Dad Khan, Itar Dad Khan, Baray Mian Dad Khan, Peer Dad Khan, Ali Bukhsh Khan, Misree Khan, Ajaib Khan, Deen Muhammad Khan, Ahmed Deen Khan, Fateh Ali Khan, Mubarak Ali Khan, Mian Dad Khan, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Badar Mian Dad Khan, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Sheer Miandad Khan and now Sikandar Miandad Khan, Mr. Khan got his early education regarding the art of Qawwali from his father “Ustad Badar Mian Dad Khan” is the age of 10 years and started his professional career in 2000 with his father. He also performed in many TV programmes. He visited abroad too. His forefathers are famous in the whole Indo-Pak, Asia and European countries as well because of the followers of Hazrat Ameer Khusro who promote “Sufi-Izim” of Islam through Music. It is great honour to his tribe that about 90% of Qawwals of Indo-Pak were their Pupils Mr. Khan had started his career properly after the death of his father. Presently Mr. Khan is trying to work hard day and night for the survival of his forefather’s customs through Qawwali. His unique style of Qawwali proves his talent. It is the one and only tribe to whom the colour of classical music is very prominent. Mr. Khan carried on his hard working with the passage of time and now with his unique style he is entered in the list of prominent Qawwals. He and his father had also got the title of “King of Qawwali”. It will be pertinent to mention here that his forefathers are founders who introduced the Qawwali in Persian language in Afghanistan and performed many shows throughout the world “His Master Voice” Recording company UK have also released many records of his forefathers while no other was born in this field of Qawwali Music. The learned Mr. Khan has also participated in the various channels of Abroad i.e. R.T.V. and Aryaan Channel of Afghanistan, D.M. Channel of UK as well. He also participated in programs of P.T.V, Geo Channel, ARY Digital, Q-TV, APlus, Hum TV, Indus TV, Indus Music, Royal TV, Din News, A-TV, Punjab TV Channel namely “Shawa Bhai Shawa”, “Naal Sajna Prey Rahiay”, “Sajree Sawair”, “Raat Gayee”, “Mehfil-e-Sama Special” and morning shows on all TV Channels etc. and Geo TV Channel’s make Background Music and Title Song for Drama “Mohabat Kahani”, beside this, Mr. Khan is going to India to complete the music of the film, “Gahrai” which is still incomplete due to the un-certain death of his father. He has also made new contracts with Indian Producers to give music of their films and title songs as well. His efforts in music field appear to be progressive shining star.
