This is a modern version of The Warsawian, a revolutionary song with 3 centuries in the making: the original music dates back from late 19th century, the English lyrics were written in the 1920s, and now an additional bridge and new lyrics were added by Vii-Pii in 2017.
Reflecting the migrants crisis in Europe, 'toiler' was replaced by 'refugee' and the lyrics dramatically apply to today's reality. 
The song was released on June 20, World Refugee Day.

Real time solo guitar improvisation, one mic to one mono track. Telecaster, pedal board, Twin Reverb.

I used to be a garbage man. Sometimes I’d ride the back of the truck, as you often see. Other times I’d work at The Dump. Recycling had just begun back then, and the only material we’d recycle was cardboard. Collection took place on the flat roof of an old brick building that had a ramp leading up to it. Slick with maggots and the juices of everything foul under the shimmering sun, this is where the trucks would dump the day’s load. My job was to climb the towering piles of garbage and remove all cardboard, before the piles would be pushed, by a bulldozer, to the far end of the roof and into iron ports in the floor that opened to a two story drop into the incinerator’s inferno. I never knew when that bulldozer was coming. There was a blast of its horn, and then only seconds to jump off of the pile before it was slammed toward the Hell Hole. Claude was the bulldozer driver - cigar stub, bloodshot eyes, drunk. Always drunk. We called him “Cardboard Claude”. This improvisation is for him, even though it doesn’t sound like him. But I do flatter myself to say I thought I heard just the whiff of Debussy in it somewhere, just a ghost in one of the lines. Hey, they’re both Claudes.

This work is also a collaboration with Marco Turrini following the previous work. We tried what happens if I play "MEMORIES OF THE PAST" which is one of Marco's masterpieces together with him.How I would add my interpretation to this work while making full use of Pink Floyd's flavor and Marco's honed sensibilities, that was my problem.A big fan of Pink Floyd can not defile the honor of Pink Floyd.  :)
I sincerely thank Marco Turrini again. Also, I would like to confess that I'd like to express my respects to the many musicians who gave me a lot of musical influences, involved in this work.
And thank you for listening to this work from the bottom of my heart.

When I listened to the sound source of Marco's "MEMORIES OF THE PAST ... TRIBUTE", the first thing I came up with was  "Breathe" by Pink Floyd. It is one song in the album "THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON". Then, on "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" (included in  "Wish You Were Here ")A famous performance came back in my mind. This may be better known.
Both are masterpieces. There are a lot of name performances left. I will introduce it below.
By listening to that songs again, why I remembered that songs, I could find something in common between them, and at the same time you will be noticing something completely different.
What Marco drew for this song is Marco's "Pink Floyd", not Pink Floyd itself. Indeed, I feel an exceptional talent to him. For example,I'd like you to check the chord progression of the second part of this song. Mr.Marco treats it so that it is not cleverly noticed immediately,You will notice that the essence of a famous song nicely included. There should be many people who understood by just listening.Therefore, the title of this song is "MEMORIES OF THE PAST ... TRIBUTE", I do not ask Marco, I imagine arbitrarily and enjoying it. :)

I played / recorded this from my new Peavey.  I didn't do any post processing on the rhythm guitar or bass tracks (also played the bass through the Peavey - this thing is a beast!!)..    I did process the noodly lead bit in the beginning because it needed to sound wider than it did with just 1 lead track..  Probably should have just double tracked it and skipped the processing.

Side note: The vocals are processed all to hell and back, but the guitars are raw recordings..  I just set the levels to make them work in the song..
