Wandering to an elusive call, singer-songwriter Jenny Sjolund finds herself driven by a desire for honest self-expression. Her music is self-described as “A solo acoustic alt-folk journey through the naturally occurring poetics of life,” with a punk aesthetic tingeing songs that otherwise might fit comfortably with the average Folk crowd. 

Influences range from Leonard Cohen to Laura Nyro, Joni Mitchell to Warren Zevon. Recently inspired by alternative singer-songwriters such as Paul Westerberg and Ryan Adams, Jenny finds inspiration in the space between conception and perfection, honoring the beautiful and the ugly too. “There has got to be a willingness to wrestle with the chaotic and messy if you’re truly going to break boundaries,” she says, “in that way I hope to also explore and communicate dynamic forms of harmony and meaning.”

Believing strongly in working her songs through the rigors of live performance, she's found that by connecting the music and the message with an audience she can refine the songs themselves to best communicate the insights gained through the inner journeys of songwriting. 

As for putting her process out into the world, "It's a fuck you to ego, both mine and the listeners," she says, "I'm not interested in perfection, but in finding the resonance within the noise." Digging deep is not always pretty, but it is where treasure awaits. The ultimate reward is in sharing this treasure with those who find the beauty in it.

Juno Wattâs music is tricky to define. He incorporates many genres and goes to places we donât think have been explored before; it is consistently inconsistent. We like to describe it as a mixture of âsarcastic rockâ and âpessimistic popâ. The sophisticated lyrics often discuss serious issues, juxtaposing the upbeat tempo and betraying a subversive attitude to the norms of the music industry. Every track has been written, performed and engineered by Juno himself, he has a huge catalogue of material and is expected to release regularly throughout 2015 leading up to his debut album in 2016.
