I recently lost a pet that really really hurt down deep. She meant the world to me even though I didn't admit it. At the end, seeing her laying on that table and myself aware of what was coming, tore me up beyond words. 

I wrote this song in remembrance of her for all the joy she brought me over the years I had her. Kenny penned a really nice set of words that hold true. My hopes are that this touches and maybe even helps with the pain, for anyone who has recently lost something or someone and are having a hard time dealing with it.

Comme tous les dimanches, je pressens le vide funeste du jour qui s'achève. J'entends les pâles lamentations du temps, perdu, qui ne saura jamais se situer en ces dimanches soir revenant d'une manière fatale, comme par malédiction ?
Les âmes vivent derrière les murs des maisons, closes, aux yeux fermés pour faire ressortir davantage l'atmosphère froide des rues sous l'éclairage lunaire.
Les âmes vivent mais se cachent, du monde et d'elles-même. Leur chant hurle...

Je respire le parfum inodore de la mort se répandant dans l'air. Je devinne son odeur forte : volatile éther...

Comme tous les dimanches, plus rien à brasser dans l'air absent qui se lit dans mes yeux...
Le temps hagard s'égare, se gare sans même savoir où choir...
Attends demain, au petit matin, dans le ronronnement des véhicules, dans les soupirs des bus, les claquements de pas dans les rues, se relèvera la foule et avec elle l'humanité entière, tirée de son sommeil dominical. A nouveau, les cliquetis des machines, les toux grasses, les portes claquantes, les baisers couïnants, les battements de paupière, les ébattement de corps, les battements de cœur rythmeront le temps pour une ère nouvelle : la même que la semaine dernière...
J'espère alors qu'elle sera la dernière.
J'attends avec une conviction profonde une mort dominicale, sous le râle des étoiles...

Cemetery Gates is back with a concept EP set in the aftermath of the Chernobyl disaster. The story takes the listener through the horror and fear that they suffered. There is also a perspective with a question about how truth is distorted and the questioning of leadership. How the individual man makes his life available to save as many people as possible. Cemetery Gates often addresses themes such as fear, abuse of power, global environment, hidden agendas, etc. in their lyrics.
This is the first follow-up to the debate album ”Through the shadows of fear” 2019.

03. The Fear Within

Well?   Just trying to get back into it . The story line is about the thorns you may touch in your life, not everything is seen through rose colored glasses. Sometimes emotions are dark. nothing is ever black or white at least in my journey, Peace to all.

This is where my latest idea took me.  A bit of a message in the lyrics. 
 Not sure what genre it is, but was pretty cool to do.  Always a challenge to do something different and most certainly quite rewarding.  Hope you enjoy it.

Planet In Peril

CEMETERY GATES – founded in 2018 by songwriting duo Guitarist Mattias Fabricius and Vocalist Anton Sabah Ryberg. With a penchant for the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s metal scene with bands such as Black Sabbath, Danzig, Type O Negative, Tiamat, Amorphis, Pantera, Metallica and others, the bands sound bear the roots of retro heavy metal with a full hearted passion.  

In February 2019, the bands first single release “Old Misfortune Blues” saw the light, soon to be followed by “Till the End”, “And What Should Not Be” and “Hotel Albatross”. The first full length album “Through the Shadows of Fear” was released in August the same year. 

In 2020 they joined forces with multi-genre bass player Jens Hogsander and recorded the single “Killing Life For Years” during the raging of the Corona-pandemic. The single was soon followed by the album “Chernobyl (Re-Recorded)”, recorded in the band members respective homes during Christmas holidays 2020 and released in February 2021. The album has five songs on the theme of the tragic accident in Reactor 4 at the Chernobyl Nuclear Plant in the village of Pripyat in 1986.
