Portuguese from birth and settled in Spain for quite some time now, Gonçalo has established himself in the last years as an incomparable DJ and producer in the international scene. Currently, with a perfectly stable career on different stages, he has focused on his development as a producer, that taking into account his results, releasing on Toolroom, Clarisse, Stereo Productions and Deeperfect, there is no doubt that it was the correct decision to make.

Now, it´s time for his latest release, the EP "Slap Dance" on the Italian label Blackboard, that stands out not just because of the careful musical selections, but also due to its catalogue that only includes Techno and Minimal Tech references, giving special importance to the development of the covers, transformed into unique art pieces by artist Celio Bordin. Gonçalo´s new EP is formed by 3 original tracks, the homonymous "Slap Dance", "Sick Dope" and "Be Free", that was released on Friday 27th of July.

And this is not the only good news Gonçalo has, because he will release an EP on Tronic, Christian Smith´s mythical label. And if this isn´t enough, Gonçalo is getting ready to face what will be one of the most important dates of his summer. We´re talking about his performance, on Friday 10th of August, on the Dreams Tent stage at Dreambeach, festival with which he has a tight bond.

The Portuguese artist Gonçalo, currently settled in Ibiza, has a prolific career both as a DJ and as a producer. The best evidence of this is his excellent 2019. A year in which he gave more than 70 performances among which are included Dreambeach Chile, elrow Cancun and WAN Festival. A very busy schedule to which we have also to add his releases on Tronic, Stereo and Deeperfect. Reasons that justify why the prestigious agency ANALOG has announced the incorporation of Gonçalo to its roster.

Now, even when he is immersed in the celebration of “20 Years Raving” (his commemorative tour of 10 dates honouring his 20º anniversary in the industry), Gonçalo has had time to lock himself in the studio again. The result is “Luv Story”, an EP with which the transatlantic platform YET Records welcomes him to their family. The release has three parts, the original and homonymous track, and two remixes, the first one by Timid Boy and the second by Sergio Bennett. The original track is a perfect sample of what Gonçalo is capable of, an infallible technique, unbeatable rhythms and unavoidable sound journey. Our advice? Be ready because you won’t be able to stop moving.

Timid Boy takes over deciding to focus almost completely on the percussion creating a very rhythmic and direct track whose slow development allows the coherent and contained incorporation of elements. Sergio Bennett on his side takes over in a calmer way, taking the track to his field, a space in which the vocals abound and the character is atmospheric, we can even say oniric by the subtle sequences of little birds.

“Luv Story” will be available on YET Records from Monday 12th of August.

The flip tucks NYC‘s Craft‘s wild synth work into a tight corset, channeling its lively energy even more effectively for the floor. Closing out with A Sacred Geometry, the Berlin/Rome-connection‘s finely plucked synths glide above elated pads and a skittering rhythm.

The proceeds of this record will be forwarded entirely to charity organization Straßenkinder e.V., who are working to offer help to the children living on the streets of Berlin.
