2021 marks the 5th anniversary of Khemia and the 18th of Kaos, and it felt just like the right time to have a chat with their founder, Lee Adams and talk about the past and the future of his projects.

Together with the interview that came out yesterday, Lupus, another great friend of both ours and Kaos, has prepared for us a mix made just of tracks released on Khemia. Surit is immersed in the intense red universe that DOMINANT has created for its first anniversary.

He carries a suitcase containing more than 15 years of experience in electronic music. Better known as the 50% of NX1 duo, project which started at the end of 2011, he's been playing around since the early 2000s.

After being half of his life in the business Surit is a connoisseur of the scene and has reached such maturity that allows him to deliver his music proposal in a powerful and elegant way. His sets entwine a wide range techno styles, heavy and wet atmospheres which cover the dance floor, harsh noises, rocking breaks and fat basses are his club show signature.

Nowadays he is engaged in various musical projects such as managing his own label Nexe Records, keeping the NX1 project and releasing his own material as well as some other collaborations.

The sixth release on Observant adds a set of new but seasoned faces to the roster. The 8 track compilation titled “ Point of View Vol. 2” includes originals by Szmer, Elisa Batti, Dekeyden, Bastian Balders, Dotdat, A Thousand Details, Obstructor and Audio Units.

Proud to present these amazing artists who clearly have gone an extra mile to keep things innovative on this compilation. The driving funk of Szmer’s “Tiro”, leading into the deep percussive trip by Balders Audio head honcho Bastian on “Mode_1”, Obstructors’ incessant rhythmic pulsations on “Recession” and dotdat’s “Thirty Seven” with the quirky leads are for the dark rooms for a heads’ down moment. Whilst Dekeyden’s “Effem Clipping” sets the tone for a great intro with it’s cold drones on a break beat and further meandering into a deeper hypnotic territory with Audio Units’ “Crypt of Decay”. Elisa Batti and A Thousand Details finish off this compilation with their contributions “Hymenoptera” and “Yoshida-San”, both texture laden groove bombs.

Hailing from the northern Polish town of Gdynia, comes Poland’s own Paweł Zawadzki; a versatile producer and live set aficionado who performs under the arcane alias of Concept of Thrill.
His introduction into the scene came back in early 2017 on Spanish label Kindcrime Recordings, which saw him present 2 dancefloor focused original productions on the label’s 21st digital release; followed only weeks later by the release of his first official remix on Warok Music alongside artists Osse and Temudo.
Since these early releases, Concept of Thrill has built on his productions and developed relationships with a variety of labels across the world including Circular, Natch, Wats and the ever evolving independent Polish imprint ‘DRVMS Ltd’.
Outside of his broad backcatalog of creative works, Concept of Thrill is known primarily for his professional and dynamic live set, with which he has graced the likes of the infamous Khidi nightclub in Georgia and the spacious Arena Club in Berlin. In 2018 he had opportunity to visit China and he played in one of the famous techno clubs in Asia which is Lantern (Beijing).
Over the last 2 years, the complexity and deliverance of his live performances have increased exponentially, encompassing a raw and atmospheric sound that depicts audible dystopian landscapes with an industrial influence.

Manson X is an electronic musician and DJ based in South London. He is a resident DJ of techno collective Aria, co-manages the podcast series and events of Decoding The Void alongside Alba Heidari, and runs the experimental electronic music channel Neon Rhythms. He has played at in clubs such as Corsica Studios, Five Miles, The Cause, The Egg or LANNA, for parties like DON’T, Jaded or HTBX, and has performed his own music live at events such as Tempting Failure festival. His sound is characterised by dystopian themes, rich low frequencies, rough beats and dark industrial atmospheres.
