Asymetric80, the stage name of Barcelona-based DJ and producer Gonzalo Sendón, is renowned for his unique fusion of vintage and contemporary electronic music. Puritan: “This is the first part of my contribution to the Lightvessel Transmission, dedicated to one of my earliest inspirations, John Juan Mendez, who sadly left us last year. While it carries some personal, hidden meanings, I leave it up to the listener to carve their own story from it. I’ll just share the backstory behind the 1980s photograph Mujer Ángel, taken in the Sonora Desert by Mexican photographer Graciela Iturbide:

I went with a group to a cave where there are indigenous paintings. I took just one picture of this woman during the walk there. I call her Mujer Ángel because she looks as if she could fly off into the desert. She was carrying a tape recorder, which the Seris got from the Americans, in exchange for handicrafts such as baskets and carvings, so they could listen to Mexican music".

The Fifth Stigma is an industrial and esoteric project by French-American artist Rodolphe Vidal. Through music, Vidal explores fictive history and forgotten wonders.

Unlike contemporary techno, The Fifth Stigma produces slow, heavy, and raw metallic techno influenced by history, emotions, and obscure world music. This project aims to stand out in a fast-paced, homogenized musical landscape.

Vidal creates intimate sonic atmospheres filled with captivating imagery and explores diverse sounds, from ritualistic elements to techno, noise, and punk electronics. The sets feature a range of genres, including techno, EBM, and unconventional club electronics, each telling a unique story.
