I am a Singer-Songwriter with 20+ years experience in making music.  I have road gigged across the western USA; was a star performer aboard the Holland America Cruise Ship, "The Wind Surf"; was the Front Lead of a 7 piece Classic R&R band for a Supper Club on the island of Okinawa, Japan; and have performed in Musical Theater.  My stage presence is said to remind people of Bette Midler.  My voice is like that of Cher, Patsy Cline, Dusty Springfield and Reba MacEntire.  I have over 300 cover tunes in my repertoire (Classic R&R 1950's-1980's, Classic Motown; Classic Country and some Adult Easy Listening).  I have over 70 Original Songs. 1 of my Original Tunes, "On a Sunny Sunday Afternoon", was featured in the "New Artist" category in the 2001 Cannes International Music Festival.

Sometimes tormented, sometimes full of rage, Gecko Palace music sets up chilling gut-wrenching ambiances that bring you to improbable road movies where old hotels, that once aimed to be palaces, sought into oblivion... Dusty blinking neon lights will just remind you that the owners are not yet completely dead.

Discovered during its first Balkan tour, which went through Czech Republic, Hungary and Serbia, by the famous American producer Theo Hakola, Gecko Palace distils its single malt folk-rock’n’roll universe and on the razor-edge slices of life with an impressive live intensity.

Back from the prestigious Chantier des francos that revealed some of the finest French artists, Gecko Palace is signed by the Parisian label Demain la veille in 2006 and records its second album under the artistic direction of Theo Hakola (Orchestre Rouge, Noir Désir, Passion Fodder). The band tours France and plays with some of the most famous French artists (Cali, Jean-Louis Murat, Aston villa, Tété, Trust...).

In 2007, Gecko Palace is scheduled in national top level festivals such as the festival des inaperçus, in Paris, Attention talent scène of the Printemps de Bourges, the Garorock festival, or the magical site of the Théatre de la mer in Sètes for the Quand je pense à Fernande festival. During the same year, the band records a very personal cover of the French standard “Il est libre Max” for a rock compilation of national bands. This impressive version catches the attention of the author of the song who decides to release it remixed by Celmar Engel (Eurythmics, Françoise Hardy...).

In 2008, Gecko Palace is signed by New Track Music (The chase, Sidilarsen...) and releases its new album on the 13rd of October. This new record is unanimously acclaimed by the press:

The Tale of The Snail:

A little while ago, deep within the deepest depths of the amazonian rainforest, in parts little explored even by tribesmen existed a small settlement of rare snail. All lived in harmony and peace going about their daily activities, tending to their wares and nurturing the baby snizzles. Our hero to be (a young, intelligent creature) was out and about one day as he always was. A keen interest in exploration of the forest drew him further and further away from the settlement and as time progressed he decided that his adventures on this day should lead him to the forbidden tree of foresight and wisdom which was only to be approached by the shamanic snail of the group.

Feeling fool-hardy and high on life, after a little look around to check no one was watching, he threw caution to the wind and began to feast on the fabled bark, in blatent disregard of the tradition of his elders. Oh how he ate, ate like he'd never eaten before, in a veritable frenzy of saliva and woodchippings. After he was through with the illicit meal, he stopped to smoke a pipe and have a little lie-down under some sort of mushroom. Pretty soon his vision began to get a little blurry and certain colours became much more prominent and his shell actually started to vibrate at quite a high frequency. 'Hang on a minute, this isn't normal' he thought to himself as non-existent creatures began to enter his peripheral vision and various plants around him began to pulsate in time to his own heartbeat. He barely had time to regret feasting on the Tree of Pavlova before he found himself casually cruising through hyperspace at a rate beyond his control. Time was non-existent here and after an un-known period, maybe days or weeks, he blinked and was in the middle of a large plaza, surround by tall buildings of concrete and glass. This was Alexanderplatz and he was in Berlin.

A completely alien environment rendered our hero confused and disorientated. Bewildered by the monumental structures, blinding city lights and mechanical sounds of passing trams and automobiles he slowly slimed his way in a circle around the platz for hours. After about four hours of sliming a curious sound caught his ears. Warm frequencies and repetitive beats made his eyestalks tingle and filled him with fresh energy and determination. He followed the positive vibrations to the outskirts of the plaza and down a non-descript stairway, he was filled with uncertainty and excitement about what lay beyond.

The sights and sounds that greeted him far exceeded his wildest expectation, everywhere he looked ecstatic molluscs were shaking and grooving under an array beautiful multicoloured decor, eyes closed, lost in a myriad of lights, movement and meditation. Music wafted through the air and hours of sliming passed, where not a bad sound was heard or sad face pulled. This was atmospheric perfection. A place where all could reach the same state of elation under one roof something like the shamanic gatherings of the small amazonian tribe but with crisp smooth sounds carrying the molluscs on their journey. Smiling to himself our snail realized that this is what the Tree of Pavlova had intended for him. By the end of the party he had accumulated some knowledge of the music from the friendly German snails and how he was to again find something of this beauty.

The next month or so was a blur of parties. He now wore fine urban designs on his amazonian shell (which seemed to glow a little more after each night) and wasted little time outside nightclub and hot tub. Friend to many DJ's and a choice selection of powerful players in the underground music industry, he was at the top of his game. One morning he woke after a series of microdreams in his sequence of snoozes and realised that he must spread his knowledge to the people of Europe. His adventure took him to many capitals, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Budapest, Kiev (where he learned to bake pastries), Ljubljana (where he learned the art of cheese rolling) and Moscow to name but a few. Presenting impeccable parties to countless numbers of snails and leaving waves of mystery and musical consciousness in his wake our hero was indeed a noble creature. London was next. He arrived amidst the warm months and proceeded with his usual promotional activities. On the last Saturday of July there was to be held a monumental event running across two days showcasing the finest European talent including several of his DJ friends from Berlin. The doors opened and a flood of shelled party goers descended upon the 4 dance floors eager to have a piece of the action. The night was a huge success and he was invited to one of the English DJ's afterparties. The house that they were to return to was in Clapham Junction an area unknown to the snail but even though the DJ said it was a bit of a journey to get to he accepted.

The final snail slimed tiredly out of the club and the crew began to remove hangings and projectors. He stuck around to oversee that everything was going to plan then left for the station with his new friends. All in high spirits still energised from the music they had not a care in the world but on the way to the station great misfortune struck. They were accosted by an unruly group of slugs who mugged them for their wares and slimed off at top speed to be lost from sight just as quickly as they appeared. Luckily one of the snails managed to escape with his debit card and bought tickets for all the others. They boarded the train and after a few stops there was no one left in the carriage. Just before the group reached Clapham Junction, or heroes bladder demanded he visit the toilet. The train stopped and he tried to open the door with no success. He heard his friends leaving the train but in their inebriated state had forgotten that he was in the toilet!

To his horror the train began moving and he was forced to endure the smelly imprisonment for the entirety of the journey. When the train finally stopped for good a helpful train cleaner pried the door open for him and with great relief he slimed off the train to find himself in the city of Brighton. As there were no more trains back to London he decided to slime around until daybreak after contacting his friends to tell them of his predicament. The white coloured buildings and hilly streets sat on the background of a deep green ocean and a fresh saltiness breezed against his feelers. What is this place!? He thought to himself. The day rolled on and the snail became more and more captivated by the city and so decided to stay for a few days. He headed to the bank that afternoon with his passport (which he had sneakily tucked into his shell when the slugs had assaulted him and his friends ) and managed to withdraw some money for a reasonably comfy hotel room with a sea view. The Brighton days turned to weeks and nearly a month went past.

Suffice to say our hero had found himself once again in a place which felt like home but this time required his precious skill and incredible talent. The adventure that the Tree of Pavlova had laid out for the snail had brought him to the place where he felt aligned with the essence of the milk of the great dachshund and would throw some parties that the city would never forget.

Version City Tour:
By popular demand, New York’s long-standing Reggae, Rocksteady and Ska party (active in various forms since 1997) is taking it on the road for the first time.  The “Version City” tour is a compact six-piece revue in three acts featuring diverse and fresh blends of Jamaican roots music-- reggae, rocksteady, and ska-- peppered with American rhythm & blues and soul.  The show will open with a set from Matt MacLeod, soulful vocalist and keyboardist of The Heavy Beat, with backing from the Snails.  Matt will then switch to bass for the Snails’ own set, fronted by the dynamic singer/guitarist Todd Fausnacht. For the finale, King Django will take the helm and lead the troop through a wide selection of material from his long and diverse career.

King Django:
King Django is internationally loved and respected as an important proponent of Jamaican and Jamaican-influenced music. With a career now spanning nearly three decades he has made his mark as an influential bandleader, singer, songwriter, arranger, engineer, producer, musician and independent record label owner, especially in the genres of ska, rocksteady, reggae, dub and even hardcore/punk rock. He has toured many times throughout the US, Europe, Canada, and Japan as the leader of Stubborn All-Stars, Skinnerbox and the King Django band; and as a sideman with such renowned acts as Rancid, Murphy’s Law, The Slackers and the Toasters. He currently performs regularly with the King Django X-tet and Bad Luck Dice. In 1997 he assembled the Version City recording studio which rapidly became the hub of the NYC ska and reggae scene.  Django moved the studio to New Brunswick, NJ in 2000, where he continues his engineering and production work for a wide roster of international clients. In 2012 he celebrated the 20th anniversary of his independent label, Stubborn Records and the 5th year anniversary of his “Version City” vinyl label based in Kingston, Jamaica.

The Snails:
The Snails are an eclectic act specializing in various forms of Jamaican music, blended with ragged 50's rock 'n' roll and the sweet sounds of American soul. The band is fronted by Todd Fausnacht on lead guitar, complemented by Tim Hildebrand on rhythm guitar. The driving beats spring from the rhythm section of Josh Parry on drums, Ben Parry on bass, and Kyle Williams on organ. Though Fausnacht's vocals lead the group, it's not uncommon for the voices of all five members to come together in cascading harmony. The Snails are no strangers to providing the musical backdrop for other acts. In early 2012 they toured the northeast U.S. with King Django as his backing band, as well as playing their own set each night. They performed with Stubborn Records artist Rocker T at the recent Stubborn Records 20th Anniversary Party, and traveled the Midwest with Sammy K, formerly of the Brooklyn rocksteady band the Forthrights, in summer 2012. The Snails will soon be releasing their new 4-song EP "The River," recorded at Version City. The release will be commemorated by the upcoming Version City Tour.

Matt MacLeod:
Matt MacLeod is the keyboard player and one of two lead singers of Pennsylvania based reggae band The Heavy Beat. Formed in 2007, The Heavy Beat has played over 300 shows, from DC to NYC. Matt splits songwriting and singing duties with guitar player Noah Marsters. The band has a large repertoire of songs which reverently explores the sounds of 1960s and 70s Jamaica. From it's beginning, The Heavy Beat has made a conscious effort to translate Jamaican music with an understanding that this music was written in place far away, decades before they were even an egg in the womb. While MacLeod and Marsters have a commitment to the Jamaican sound, they avoid fetishism and allow transients of outside influences and personality to polish off a sound of their own. Matt approaches the organ in an aggressive manner. As a self taught player, he focuses on complementing the band with heavy syncopated patterns rather than complex theory based leads. His influence by Jamaican greats such as Jackie Mittoo and Winston Wright is prevalent, as well American Soul, R&B and Rock and Roll artists. In 2011, MacLeod took his keys on the road with Two-Tone Legends Bad Manners, playing 28 gigs across the US and Canada. With Buster Bloodvessel at the helm, Matt could further hone his organ craft and experience a whole new brand of performance. He recently took up the role of bassist for the Snails and will be on stage throughout each performance of the Version City Tour.

Born in a Bridgetown Kitchen, Sold off to the Aristocracy of the crumbling last throes of the historix of the wet and mythical lands which shape Albions dusty shores- the 3 princes and young princess of the noble house of Pomeroy come out into the suburbs and ebbing canals to remind, relax and rebel, with regal heartfelt popping clandestine jumbleshape music for these dangerous, yet beautifully changing times.

Dj's, Rappers, Producers, Fashion Designers and photographers peaked interest and the Griffin became obsessed with creativity. After countless days spent in the slums of planet Earth, the griffin found a lap top. This lap top gave the Griffin access to all of the material and information necessary via the mystery that is called... the internet. The Griffin gizzed instantly on the floor because he doesn't wear pants. A request was made to big brother for a website and he agreed to launch in Q1 2014. Gone were they days of personally meeting and dealing with unreliable artists and general douche baggery. The Royal Griffin, Big Brother and Dr. Dope (A mysterious rapper/producer/Dj who is ganster AF) Began their journey into oblivion.
