...there was one who went out to make music...

In 1970, I felt the urge to gamble music; to transport. After I realized that the drums are my instrument, began my journey into the musical world of sounds.
...the rest was my very first song on my drums "Bad Moon Rising" by CCR...

In a first band I gathered, for several years, my experiences are clearly influenced by Creedence Clearwater Revival, Grand Funk Railroad, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Deep Purple, Camel, Black Sabbath, Spooky Tooth, Gentle Giant, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull , Earth Wind &amp; Fire, Christopher Cross, John Mayall, Dire Straits, Mother Earth, Jimi Hendrix...

After a "short" break through family and job, in my wonderful daughter Daniela saw the light of day, I now again, and really fortunately, the possibility to realize the me, which I then also with the song "Daughter" did!
Thanks go to my wife, Angelica, who all this contributes along with me.

...in the band "GREENIZON" I got in 2008, we played cover songs by Green Day, Extra Breit, Die Toten Hosen, United Balls, and Blur...
...it was founded by reshuffling the German-Rock Band "STIFF!" with which I since 2010 live on stages like Hof 23, SO36, Lido, Fritz Club im Postbahnhof, Berliner Rockhouse, and from time to time in the "Brücken Eck", a small Neuköllner pub with a stage, which unfortunately no longer exists now, was underway. A very special moment in my life was the occasion of a commemoration of "Christ and motorcycle", for the injured / deceased bikers to play at St. Matthias Church on Winterfeldplatz...
..."STIFF! " is now also history, we transform just about, and then we'll soon be going back to the "runway"...

...I made several other contacts, and had the good fortune to meet interesting musicians, including Akim Jensch who is with his wife along with "Tina Voice &amp; Akim Jensch" go.
Akim and I, together we are "DABROKIM", set to music have on some projects together pieces of music, including further result of Akim Jensch, André Dahlke, Heike Gaida, Susan Bonath, and there are still others are made...

...in January 2015 I joined the band "LOBUS FRONTALIS" with which we will push the "Psychedelic Beat"...

...in 2016 was followed by a nice, albeit short, time with the Gray Hound Rock Band...

...since the end of 2016 I have joined the band "The Cool Tubes", a program is being developed.
Rocky sounds on the one hand, and acoustic sounds, as "Straw Fire" on the other...

Charles M. Mailer's authentic, partly autobiographical songs are true to life and act in the middle of everydays human coexistence and confusion. Influences of blues, soul, country, jazz, rock and rhythm and blues as well as personal experience of almost 40 years as a musician are unmistakable and form their own creative mix of styles, that Mailer itself calls Blu:Soul or Rhythm Soul.

Some pieces are made in collaboration with the award-winning American writer and poet Blue Freida W. Gantt from South Carolina, who has contributed the lyrics for this.

In April 2012, Charles M. Mailer founded the Sunhill Palace Band during a session at the legendary "Omnibus" Würzburg. The Band is a lineup of top-class live and studio musicians, which is compiled individually to assist in major concerts and events. Thereby a varied menu of own songs  and handpicked " pearls " of the blues history is served. Particular attention comes to the solo skills of the band members , what makes their concerts a special experience .

Mailer‘s authentische, teilweise autobiografische Songs sind mitten aus dem Leben gegriffen und handeln vom alltäglich menschlichen Mit- und Durcheinander. Einflüsse aus Blues, Soul, Country, Jazz, Rock und Rhythm & Blues sowie persönliche Erfahrungen eines fast 40 jährigen Musikerdaseins sind hierbei unüberhörbar und bilden einen eigenen kreativen Stilmix, den Mailer selbst als Blu:Soul oder RhythmSoul bezeichnet.

Einige Stücke sind in Zusammenarbeit mit der preisgekrönten amerikanischen Schriftstellerin und Bluespoetin Freida W. Gantt aus South Carolina entstanden, die hierfür Texte beigesteuert hat.

Im April 2012 gründete Charles M. Mailer während einer Session im legendären „Omnibus“ Würzburg, die Sunhill Palace Band, ein LineUp aus hochkarätigen Live- und Studiomusikern, das zur Unterstützung bei größeren Konzerten und Events jeweils individuell zusammengestellt wird. Hierbei wird den  Zuhörern ein abwechslungs-reiches Menue aus eigenen Stücken und handverlesenen "Perlen" der Blues-Historie bereitet. Die solistischen Fähigkeiten der Bandmitglieder finden dabei besondere Beachtung, was die Konzerte der Formation zu einem besonderen Erlebnis werden lässt.

Elzie is a singer songwriter from eastern Oklahoma in the US. He grew up listening to the great singer songwriters of the 1970’s and the greatly influence his music. He’s written songs and played music most of his life but just started recording after he retired from teaching middle school in 2018. Since then he’s recorded and put out more than 25 songs on streaming services and has performed in the major cities in Oklahoma. He and his wife live in eastern Oklahoma that’s part of the beautiful Ozark mountains. Many of his shows are solo playing covers with guitar and harmonica, but he’s looking for more opportunities to play his original songs. He does not use AI in any of his writing or production and would like to encourage humans to keep making real music.
