This musical material is very dear to me and it came to me many years ago, in about 2002. I would walk to my bus stop to go to school or walk to the bazar always humming these few very simple chords. They were stuck in my head for quite some years. Strange that at that time I had never considered doing anything with this material. Maybe because I was very much occupied with abstract contemporary conceptual music back then. The older I become the more I appreciate clarity, simplicity and emotion in music rather than complexity and hidden abstract concepts. The time to unfold this material came 20 years after. Thomas Nakas aka @to_mi_nor brought it to life  by creating a beautiful piano part, structure and arrangement. This is our second EP and there are more works to come!

The improvisations are rough, meaning that I recorded them in one take with no corrections or editing and this represents the concept of this EP. Do we have to be perfect at all? Or is it maybe more important to honestly communicate your thoughts, your feelings, regrets, nostalgia?..

The Bar in Space Station K7 is a sleek and modern establishment, situated in the heart of the bustling spaceport. As you step inside, the cool hum of the space station's life-support systems is replaced by the soft buzz of conversation and the clinking of glasses.

The bar is illuminated by soft, atmospheric lighting that casts a warm glow over the polished metal surfaces and plush seating areas. At the center of the room, a gleaming chrome bar stretches along one wall, lined with a variety of bottles and glasses.

As you approach the bar, you notice a small, automated drink dispenser nestled between the bottles of liquor. This state-of-the-art device is equipped with a touch screen interface, allowing customers to select from a range of pre-programmed cocktails and other beverages with just a few taps.

With a few deft movements, the bartender expertly mixes your cocktail, adding just the right amount of ice and garnish before sliding the drink across the bar to you. You take a sip, savoring the rich, complex flavors as you look out over the bustling space station beyond.

It was more than special to share this moment with so many loving faces that have been supporting my journey from day 1. Piknic is an important heart beat to Montreal dance culture, and it was an honour to add my herbs & spices to the Fizz stage on this day.

This is a happy set. 
This is a daytime groover. 
This is a "sometimes we don't have to take life too seriously" set. 
This is I will always be a kid at heart set. 

Melancholy and astral journeys can take a little break for once for some good ol' fashion summer fun! 

Most songs are woven together in the form of live remixes. For high impact moments like this, I pride myself in creating new songs in real time and keeping the pace of change rapid and unpredictable. Not sure what style of mixing one would call it, but I enjoy doing it, and hopefully the smile it brings to my face translates & tickles your ears as much as it does to mine.
