Eustace

The canon uses the same chord progressions as the canon in d major by Johann Pachelbel (1653-1706) that can be found in many rock and pop songs of the last sixty years. This is my interpretation. I just let my inspiration run free and used all the melodies that came to mind, mixing them, using all kinds of virtual instruments like oboe, bassoon, cembalo and strings.

The first track created especially for meditation or breathing exercises. The track will help you focus on meditation and disperse your thoughts when you relax. I bet on the classic sound associated with the east, supplementing the whole with the sounds of nature that I recorded myself.

Paths Of Consciousness

This week's Disquiet Junto, number 0717, invited us to collaborate with an ancestor. I recalled my kinship with a certain pioneering electronic musician, my reclusive great aunt Carly Wendos. (Her catalog is strangely absent from most streaming services, but she was something of a sensation in classical music.)

The piece is a favorite of hers, an interpretation of Beethoven's Piano Trio #5 in D Major, Op. 70 No.1, the so-called "Ghost Movement". Aunt Carly rocks the Moogs while I supply the string section via live electric violin.

In all seriousness, this one is dedicated to my trans elder Wendy Carlos. Thank you for making a way for us.
