Borrowed my old man's Fender PM-3 to possible do some more stuff with a steel-string acoustic (since I never really got around getting one myself). Been working on two arrangements lately (Olivia Rodrigos 'drivers licene' and another Sven Helbig piece). I did this short improvisational piece while diddling around with a slide. 

Granted I went way too heavy on the reverb with one of the tracks, I thought the textures/soundscapes themselves turned out quite nice.

Homage to the retired Kepler Space Observatory, named after astronomer Johannes Kepler (1571-1630), launched on March 7, 2009 and retired on October 30, 2018 after its reaction control system fuel was depleted, leaving it orbiting in its current safe orbit, away from Earth. During its 9 year lifespan, Kepler observed 530,506 stars and detected 2,662 planets!

The Hills of Longdendale (Words: Ammon Wrigley, Music: Rutter)

'The Moorland Poet’ Ammon Wrigley (1861-1946) was a writer, historian, singer, song collector and artist from the hills above Saddleworth. Over the past few years I’ve been reading a great deal of his published works and he really does feel like such a proper friend to me -which I reckon is the mark of a truly great writer, especially seeing as that he died nearly eighty years ago. The setting of one of his poems here, from Songs of the Pennine Hills, is my attempt to do justice to his remarkable writings and character.
