Saturday Sings Composer Series

Heather is passionate about freeing voices, uplifting hearts, and transforming lives through the power of singing. She is not only a successful recording artist, but spreads her magic through her Yala Lati women’s choir, her 20 plus years of international song circle leading, and her on-line coaching and training programs. Heather is in the recording studio working on two new albums of original material.

Singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist Gwyneth Herbert has released 6 albums and toured across the world, sharing stages with the likes of Boy George, Amy Winehouse and John Cooper Clarke.

She has also composed for the London Sinfonietta; presented for BBC Radio 3 and 4; co-created three musicals and a feature-length art film; and had her arrangement of a Swahili folk-song performed by 100,000 children at once.

The audio recordings for all Bristol Ideas work have been grouped into sets by programme and year.  Please note that not all events are recorded. Pipqi are a Bristol-based vocal trio formed in 2018 by friends Lauren, Lucy and Helen. The trio perform a variety of folk songs in superbly rich a cappella harmony - from haunting sea shanties to the beautifully dissonant music of Eastern Europe.
