Joshua Meltzer is a Singer-Songwriter, Composer,Producer and Multi- instrumentalist from Los Angeles. He had two co-writes on Eastmountainsouth's Dreamworks debut including "You Dance" which reached .1 on the Non Com Triple A charts. He's had songs placed on the WB's "One Tree Hill", HBO,STARZ Networks,MTV's Real World and Road Rules. He won the Grand Prize for the John Lennon Songwriters Contest in the World Music Category as well as 2nd place in the International Songwriting Competition . He was chosen for ASCAP's Lester Sill Workshop in Los Angeles and The ASCAP New York City Showcase . He was chosen to receive the ASCAP Robert Allen Award at Lincoln Center.
As a composer Joshua composed the score for the award winning Feature Documentary " Beyond Fear" featured at the Asian Film Festival in N.Y.C. and also won "Best Documentary" at the European Spiritual Film Festival, and winner of the Human Rights Award at the International Activist Film Festival in Los Angeles. He also scored the Feature Documentary "The 99%, Occupy Everywhere, released by Participant Media and "Eyes Of The World", a feature doc . In 2016 he provided music for the award winning Documentary “Bang, The Bert Berns Story.” He now composes music for several shows for Discovery Communications, and currently assisting Emmy nominated composer, Tony Morales.
