A Canadian indie country-rock FAMILY BAND, The Argues won BEST COUNTRY at the 2017 Toronto Independent Music Awards.  

The band was selected in the TOP TEN of CBC's 2017 SEARCHLIGHT competition for Central Ontario. 

The Argues' debut album Something New was released in November 2016 and is now being played on stations worldwide.  The band is recording new music in 2018.

Fronting The Argues are singer-songwriter multi-instrumentalist Sisters Argue Sabrina 17 and Lauren 20. 

Along with their band-mate parents, drummer Chantale and guitarist Mick, they draw comparisons to TV's Partridge Family, though their unique sound is more like that of Grace Potter & The Nocturnals and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers . The band has performed at countless festivals, theatres, ribfests, bars and corporate events.

Glen Foster is a ‘do-it-all-myself” kind of guy. He writes his own songs, sings, plays multiple instruments, books his own gigs, promotes and produces for his own record label and publishing company. He’s been an instrument repairman, salesman, teacher and a music student with two silver medals from the Royal Conservatory of Music.

Foster has been performing professionally for over 40 years and has released 8 original albums of his own compositions. His latest international release is a folk/rock album entitled FEELIN’ ALIVE! showcasing 14 live concert songs and 2 studio singles, with self-produced music videos.

“We had been working steady, my voice was in peak form and the band was playing great. It worked out perfectly that we had recorded that concert and were due to release a new album soon.”

When asked about the latest single ‘Three Man Band’ Foster said “It’s a tribute to John Fogerty of CCR, whom I’ve always admired and went to see in 2019. It’s also a nod to anyone who’s ever been in a Three Man Band and knows how hard you have to work just to pay the bills”. Drummer Dwight Gray shares the lead vocals. “Dwight loves singing Fogerty so one day I just said ‘I’m going to write a CCR type song just for you to sing’, and that’s exactly how it happened.”

And what was the motivation for composing ‘Friends Like That’? “Oddly enough I thought I’d also try writing a song for our bass player, but it became such a personal thing for me, thinking about people I’ve known, that I poured a lot of my heart and soul into it. It’s simple yet so meaningful.”

Foster was front man of his own band called Falcon, signed with Quality Records in the 70s & 80s, and lead guitarist for several years with WEA’s Ray Materick of ‘Linda Put The Coffee On’ fame. Live appearances include The Ian Tyson Show, Tommy Banks Show, The Cave, P.N.E. Gardens, Orpheum Theatre in Vancouver; Ontario Place, Massey Hall, El Mocambo, Mosport Folk Festival and the legendary Riverboat in Toronto. He’s no stranger to large crowds and the rigors of touring.

“We’re just so glad to be back playing some live gigs this summer, after the long Covid-19 layoff. We have a brand new album and single to promote, and I’m also releasing a Christmas Album later this year. I don’t have time to Not be busy!” 

Indeed Glen Foster and Friends appear to be Feelin’ Alive!
