Inertia (Original Mix)

On 1st December 2020, the sensor array platform of the Arecibo Radio Telescope in Puerto Rico came crashing down, destroying its huge reflector dish below and bringing a sorrowful end to a once magnificent piece of engineering. This is my tribute to the Arecibo Observatory and the continued search for answers among the stars. I hope you will enjoy it!

Mike T. Bain is an American Music Composer with a focus on entertainment projects, such as video games, film, and television. Originally from Hancock, Maryland, he currently resides with his wife in London, England, working from his home studio. With a foundation in hard rock/metal/acoustic music as a self-taught guitarist/songwriter, he blends the principles of those genres with those of game and film composition to create emotive, rhythmic pieces that center around his love of the melancholic, sinister, or wistful. The thrill of finding sounds in the strangest or most unexpected places that can then be used in or inspire a track is a feeling that never gets old…as such is the joy of creating music and witnessing how it makes others feel/how it can be used to serve or enhance other creative mediums.

Influences range from Gustavo Santaolalla, Dan Forden, and The Newton Brothers to Trivium, Alter Bridge, and Disturbed.
