Through the Stone is a heavy-rock band from Omaha, NE. The band’s sound can be described as a perfect storm of gritty, soulful, heavy rock with a dash of progressive rock.

With Kate Prokop's unmistakably powerful and emotive vocals, combined with Tanner Ashland's raw, soaring, unwavering guitar playing, and the driving, grumbling, rock-solid bass and drums from Toby Wandel and Wes Graffius, Through the Stone believe they have created a unique sound blending several rock genres.

Through the Stone released their first album (self-titled) in September of 2015. Their highly anticipated follow-up, The Healer EP, was released in October of 2019.

After being nominated numerous times in previous years, Through the Stone won the Omaha Entertainment & Arts Award for Best Hard Rock in February of 2020.

Through the Stone has performed at several prestigious venues in Omaha, NE such as Baxter Arena, The Waiting Room, and Slowdown. They were also invited to perform at Anthem at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Sioux City, IA. Outside of Nebraska and Iowa, the band has traveled and performed in many other states, such as South Dakota, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas. They have performed in cities such as Austin, Denver, Kansas City, Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Des Moines, and Sioux Falls, amongst others. The band is currently planning to tour and revisit these cities, as well as many other cities/states.

Through the Stone has been privileged to perform alongside numerous national acts such as Butcher Babies, Havok, Mac Sabbath, Saul, Crobot, Weedeater, Straight Line Stitch, Green Death, Doll Skin, Wilson, Cloven Hoof, and Bang Tango.

I slant towards metal. Though, I can definitely appreciate most things that are well put together. Don't be afraid to stay in touch...

Life seems better now that my mind is gone...
Most of the Sordid events are  a blurry memory from the past but we were merely a bunch of guys who wanted to play heavy music... We wrote our songs in English just because it seemed the right thing to do at that time... We wrote about girls, booze, green issues, anti-religion stuff, hate and love :) We sort of never disbanded but we haven't played in quite a while... but we will...
