I (David) have been So. Damn. Excited to release this song. It was written almost three years ago when my buddy Mark was going through a really rough time. A chick was a bitch, and he was hurting. I jokingly told him, “We could always write a song… It always seems to help me,” and surprisingly, my market analyst friend actually wanted to! I’d never written with a non-musician, but turns out he’s a pretty crafty poet, and I was thrilled to just get to work on the beat. I took a good chunk of his lyrics, edited them such that it was every bit as much from my heart as his, and then brought it to Micah. 

Micah Von is the mastermind behind the creamy, crafty lofi artist POLR, and when I brought this track to him, we were both in the process of moving away from Nashville and just making music for fun. We were tired of the unending hamster wheel of the industry and the way it affected us, and with our newfound outlook, we put our heads together on this track to make a good thing GREAT. Glass House is a dirty, dark, drum-thumping collaboration with a nasty guitar solo, and a hell of a message—something I SO often miss when listening to this kind of music. I hope you find it as powerful as we do.

David Walrod is a singer, songwriter, keyboardist, and music producer based out of Chattanooga, Tennessee. Developing a unique sound with roots predominantly in jazz, alternative, and soul, Walrod is an upcoming artist to keep a close eye on.

After recently branching out from performing classical and jazz piano and jumpstarting his singer-songwriter career, he released his debut EP "Dry Erase Dreams" on July 27, 2018. This is Walrod's first  project under his own artist name.
