The Dan Beck Band consists of Dan Beck lead vocals and guitar, Dave Prentice on percussion, Pablo Nuñez playing bass, Robert Rosett on sax and flute, and Tyler Reilly playing violin. Occasionally sitting in are Sebastian M. and Macucho on tablas, congas and bongos.  The group plays original jazz-blues fusion music that is very dance-able.

The group has been #1 in the Monterey-Salinas Jazz charts for several months, and a recent review of "All The Fish Are Hopping" had this to say: “From its first dry strains you can tell Beck is a masterful songsmith - his new single promulgates the philosophical aim of conscious leisure - and grants sublime material to fill it.” 

Adam Joseph of the Monterey County Weekly wrote: “Don’t expect any flat facsimiles of The Rat Pack, Perry Como and Harry Belafonte......Beck’s music combines blues, jazz, folk, classical and beyond – none of his songs have a straight rock and roll beat. His unique finger picking almost evokes a classical guitarist, and Beck’s compositions are vibrant yet atmospheric, making it work as both background music or the main show. Though he’s rarely been accused of sounding like another artist, Beck’s songs are definitely coated with recognizable influences. [Fans] are constantly approaching him after songs asking, “What is that? I know I’ve heard that song before.””  January 1, 2015
