Handgrip strength is a widely used tool for nutritional assessment in clinical settings and may have utility in predicting clinical outcomes in advanced chronic liver disease. Handgrip strength is associated with 12 months survival in male patients suffering with advanced chronic liver disease, describes the determination of handgrip strength reference values against clinical outcomes.
