Faraway Monalisa started his career as a singer-songwriter playing in rock bands in Rome. His passion for the endless possibilities and freedom within alternative-electronic music lead him to develop his playful way of blending sounds

His compositions were inspired by Sicilian folklore, with its beautiful wilderness and earthy tribal sounds with a dreamlike yet tormented feel. This is Faraway Monalisa's authentic approach from a childhood spent wandering, surrounded by the sea

He believes in a holistic vision of Art, including his keen interest in theatre, psychology, surrealism, mythology, sex and dreams
